أفصحت السلطات العراقية عن تفاصيل جديدة بشأن حادثة إضرام شاب النار في جسده خلال بث مباشر على موقع «فيسبوك». وأعلنت شرطة محافظة نينوى، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، نجاته وتلقيه العلاج في أحد مستشفيات إقليم كردستان، مؤكدة وجود أحكام قضائية سابقة ولاحقة صادرة بحقه.
ونقلت وسائل إعلام عراقية عن مصدر في شرطة نينوى، قوله: «إن الشاب الذي ظهر في بث مباشر وهو يضرم النار في جسده باستخدام وقود سريع الاشتعال، هو من أهالي ناحية حمام العليل جنوب الموصل، وقد تم حذف الفيديو من «فيسبوك».
وأضاف المصدر أن الشاب نُقل سريعاً إلى أحد مستشفيات إقليم كردستان، حيث يرقد حالياً هناك لتلقي العلاج اللازم، وحالته الصحية تخضع للمتابعة الطبية المستمرة.
وأوضح أن الشاب سبق أن صدرت بحقه أحكام قضائية في العامين 2021 و2022 بقضايا تتعلق بالمخدرات، وعزا سبب إقدامه على إحراق نفسه إلى صدور حكم غيابي حديث بحقه بتهمة الاتجار بالمخدرات والترويج لها.
وحسب مصدر الشرطة، فإن الشاب يُعد أحد أفراد شبكة لتجارة المخدرات مكونة من خمسة أشخاص، ألقي القبض عليهم جميعاً باستثنائه، إذ تمكن من الفرار إلى خارج محافظة نينوى قبل أن يظهر لاحقاً في مقطع البث المباشر.
وأفاد بأن الجهات الأمنية تواصل متابعة القضية بالتنسيق مع السلطات المختصة في الإقليم، لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحقه بعد استقرار وضعه الصحي.
The Iraqi authorities have disclosed new details regarding the incident of a young man setting himself on fire during a live broadcast on Facebook. The police in Nineveh province announced today (Tuesday) that he survived and is receiving treatment in a hospital in the Kurdistan region, confirming that there are previous and subsequent judicial rulings against him.
Iraqi media reported a source in Nineveh police stating: "The young man who appeared in the live broadcast setting himself on fire using highly flammable fuel is from the town of Hammam al-Alil, south of Mosul, and the video has been removed from Facebook."
The source added that the young man was quickly transferred to a hospital in the Kurdistan region, where he is currently receiving necessary treatment, and his health condition is under continuous medical monitoring.
He explained that the young man had previously been subject to judicial rulings in 2021 and 2022 related to drug offenses, attributing his act of self-immolation to a recent in absentia ruling against him on charges of drug trafficking and promotion.
According to the police source, the young man is considered a member of a drug trafficking network consisting of five individuals, all of whom were arrested except for him, as he managed to flee outside Nineveh province before later appearing in the live broadcast.
He reported that security authorities continue to follow up on the case in coordination with the relevant authorities in the region to take the necessary legal actions against him once his health condition stabilizes.
