أعلنت شركة ميتا، اليوم، أنها ستعلّق وصول الفتيان في سن المراهقة إلى أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي الحالية عبر جميع تطبيقاتها في أنحاء العالم، في الوقت الذي تقوم فيه بإنشاء نسخة محدثة منها للمستخدمين في هذا العمر.
وقالت الشركة، في بيان محدث حول حماية القصر، «بدءا من الأسابيع المقبلة، لن يتمكن الفتيان في سن المراهقة من الوصول إلى أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي عبر تطبيقاتنا حتى تصبح التجربة المحدثة جاهزة»، موضحة أن الإصدار الجديد سيأتي من الأدوات الموجهة للفتيان في هذه المرحلة العمرية مع أدوات الرقابة الأبوية، بمجرد أن يصبح متاحا.
وذكرت أن هذه الضوابط لم يتم إطلاقها بعد، موضحة أن تجارب الذكاء الاصطناعي الخاصة بها للمراهقين ستسترشد بنظام تصنيف الأفلام الذي يشار إليه اختصارا (بي جي-13)، حيث تتطلع إلى منع المراهقين من الوصول إلى المحتوى غير اللائق.
وكانت ميتا قد استعرضت في أكتوبر الماضي أدوات التحكم الأبوية التي تسمح للآباء بتعطيل محادثات المراهقين الخاصة مع أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي، مضيفة بذلك إجراء آخر لجعل منصات التواصل الاجتماعي الخاصة بها آمنة للقصر بعد انتقادات عنيفة وجهت لها بسبب سلوك روبوتات الدردشة.
Meta announced today that it will suspend access for teenage boys to current artificial intelligence tools across all its applications worldwide, as it works on creating an updated version for users in this age group.
The company stated in an updated announcement regarding the protection of minors, "Starting in the coming weeks, teenage boys will not be able to access AI tools through our apps until the updated experience is ready," explaining that the new version will come with tools aimed at boys in this age group along with parental control features, as soon as it becomes available.
It noted that these controls have not yet been launched, clarifying that its AI experiences for teenagers will be guided by a movie rating system referred to as (PG-13), as it seeks to prevent teenagers from accessing inappropriate content.
Meta had showcased parental control tools last October that allow parents to disable private conversations between teenagers and AI tools, adding another measure to make its social media platforms safe for minors after facing severe criticism regarding the behavior of chatbots.
