فقدت السلطات الإندونيسية اليوم (السبت) الاتصال بطائرة ركاب صغيرة من طراز ATR 42-500 تابعة لشركة النقل الجوي الإندونيسية، كانت تقل 11 شخصاً، أثناء اقترابها من مطار سلطان حسن الدين الدولي في ماكاسار.
البداية والجهود الميدانية
تم فقد الاتصال بالطائرة حوالى الساعة 13:17 بتوقيت إندونيسيا المركزي، وعلى بعد نحو 20 كيلومتراً فقط من المطار.
وأعلنت هيئة الملاحة الجوية أن آخر موقع معروف للطائرة كان في منطقة ليانغ ليانغ بمقاطعة ماروس.

Contact with the plane was lost around 13:17 Central Indonesia Time, and just about 20 kilometers from the airport.
The aviation authority announced that the last known location of the plane was in the Liang Liang area of Maros Regency.

National search and rescue teams began a wide-ranging sweep in the karst hills and rugged mountains of Maros Regency, utilizing helicopters and drones.
The teams are targeting the Pantimurong karst mountains, which are characterized by steep slopes, dense forests, and deep valleys, making search operations extremely difficult.

The operation involves the Indonesian Air Force, local police, and volunteers, with a crisis center established at Makassar Airport to coordinate efforts.
The Flight and Its Conditions
The plane was on a flight from Yogyakarta on the island of Java to Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi, and it is believed to have been conducting fishery monitoring missions on behalf of the Indonesian Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
