تواجه أستراليا واحدًا من أخطر أيام موسم الحرائق منذ سنوات، مع خروج نحو 30 حريقًا عن السيطرة في ولاية فيكتوريا، وسط ظروف وُصفت بـ«الكارثية»، ودرجات حرارة قياسية ورياح عاتية تهدد بتفاقم المأساة.
مفقودون بينهم طفل
أعلنت الشرطة وسلطات الطوارئ فقدان 3 أشخاص، رجل وامرأة وطفل، بعد أن دمّر حريق هائل قرب بلدة لونغوود منزلهم بالكامل، رغم تحذيرهم من خطورة المغادرة في وقت متأخر، ولا يزال مصيرهم مجهولًا.
حرارة قياسية ورياح عاتية
سجّلت درجات الحرارة مستويات غير مسبوقة، بلغت 46.3 درجة مئوية في منطقة مالي، فيما تجاوزت 43 درجة في مدن عدة، بينها ملبورن وأفالون، بالتزامن مع رياح تجاوزت سرعتها 100 كيلومتر في الساعة، ما سرّع من انتشار النيران.
خسائر واسعة النطاق
تركزت أخطر بؤر الحرائق في لونغوود، حيث التهمت النيران أكثر من 44 ألف هكتار، ودمّرت عشرات المنازل والمباني، بينها منزل لأحد رجال الإطفاء، فيما امتد حريق آخر قرب والوا على مساحة تقارب 20 ألف هكتار.
إخلاءات وانقطاع الكهرباء
أصدرت السلطات أوامر إخلاء فوري لعشرات القرى والمناطق الريفية، مع إغلاق طرق رئيسية وتعليق خدمات القطارات الإقليمية، فيما انقطع التيار الكهربائي عن أكثر من 70 ألف منزل، وأُعلن حظر تام على إشعال النار في الولاية.
أخطر يوم منذ سنوات
حذّر مفوض إدارة الطوارئ تيم ويبوش من أن «الظروف غير قابلة للدفاع عنها في بعض المناطق»، بينما وصفت رئيسة وزراء فيكتوريا، جاسينتا ألان الجمعة بأنه «أحد أخطر أيام الحرائق التي شهدتها الولاية منذ سنوات».
موسم شديد الخطورة
ويُعد موسم الحرائق 2025–2026 من أخطر المواسم منذ «الصيف الأسود» 2019–2020، الذي أودى بحياة 33 شخصًا وأحرق ملايين الهكتارات، وسط توقعات بمخاطر مرتفعة نتيجة صيف أكثر حرارة من المعتاد.

Missing Persons Including a Child
Police and emergency authorities have reported the disappearance of three people, a man, a woman, and a child, after a massive fire near the town of Longwood completely destroyed their home, despite warnings about the dangers of leaving late, and their fate remains unknown.
Record Temperatures and Strong Winds
Temperatures have reached unprecedented levels, hitting 46.3 degrees Celsius in the Mallee region, while exceeding 43 degrees in several cities, including Melbourne and Avalon, coinciding with winds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour, which accelerated the spread of the flames.
Widespread Damage
The most dangerous fire hotspots were concentrated in Longwood, where the flames consumed more than 44,000 hectares and destroyed dozens of homes and buildings, including the home of a firefighter, while another fire near Wallan spread over an area of nearly 20,000 hectares.
Evacuations and Power Outages
Authorities issued immediate evacuation orders for dozens of villages and rural areas, closed major roads, and suspended regional train services, while power was cut to more than 70,000 homes, and a complete ban on lighting fires was announced in the state.
The Most Dangerous Day in Years
Emergency Management Commissioner Tim Wiebusch warned that "the conditions are indefensible in some areas," while Victoria's Premier, Jacinta Allan, described Friday as "one of the most dangerous fire days the state has seen in years."
A Highly Dangerous Season
The 2025–2026 fire season is considered one of the most dangerous since the "Black Summer" of 2019–2020, which claimed 33 lives and burned millions of hectares, amid predictions of elevated risks due to a hotter than usual summer.
