أصدرت محكمة الجنايات الكويتية حكماً بحبس محامٍ لمدة ثلاث سنوات بعد إدانته بنشر أخبار كاذبة حول تظلمات بعض السيدات اللواتي سحبت جنسيتهن، وفقاً للمادة الثامنة، فضلاً عن التحريض على مخالفة القوانين.
وأكدت النيابة الكويتية أن التحقيقات أظهرت قيام المتهم بالظهور في مقطع فيديو عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، يدعو فيه إلى مخالفة الإجراءات القانونية، ونشر معلومات غير صحيحة من شأنها إثارة الرأي العام.
وجاء قرار المحكمة تأكيداً على التزام النظام القضائي بمكافحة نشر الأخبار الكاذبة والتحريض على مخالفة القوانين، وحماية حقوق الأفراد ومؤسسات الدولة من التضليل الإعلامي.
ويمثل قرار النيابة الكويتية رسالة واضحة لكل من يحاول استغلال منصات التواصل الاجتماعي لنشر معلومات مضللة أو التحريض على مخالفة القانون، مؤكدة أن العدالة ستأخذ مجراها دون استثناء.
