حصد أحمد الأحمد البطل الأسترالي من أصول سورية، إعجاب العالم بأسره بعد تصديه لهجوم مسلح في منطقة بوندي، وجرى تسليمه اليوم (الجمعة) شيكًا بقيمة 2.5 مليون دولار أسترالي، ما يعادل نحو 1.65 مليون دولار أمريكي، تقديرًا لشجاعته وتضحياته البطولية.
وشهدت الحادثة التي هزّت أستراليا تدخل الأحمد الحاسم، حيث نجح في تجريد المهاجم من سلاحه وإنقاذ أرواح المواطنين في اللحظات الحرجة، قبل أن يتعرض لإصابات بيده وكتفه، ما دفعه للتواجد في المستشفى حاملاً جبيرة طبية على يده اليسرى.
وتسلم الأحمد الشيك من صانع المحتوى الشهير على «إنستغرام» زاكيري ديرينيوفسكي، الذي وثّق اللحظة في فيديو نُشر على حسابه، مشيرًا إلى أن المبلغ جُمِع من تبرعات نحو 43 ألف شخص من مختلف أنحاء العالم، كتقدير لدوره البطولي.
وعند تسلّمه المكافأة، قال أحمد الأحمد بتواضع: «هل أستحق ذلك؟ عندما أنقذ الناس، أفعل ذلك من قلبي»، في رسالة أكدت تواضعه رغم الإنجاز الاستثنائي الذي أنقذ أرواحًا كثيرة خلال الاحتفال بعيد حانوكا اليهودي.
وأثارت الواقعة إعجاب المجتمع الدولي، واعتُبرت مثالًا على الشجاعة والتضحية الحقيقية، لتصبح قصة أحمد الأحمد واحدة من أبرز الأخبار البطولية لعام 2025، مع إشادة واسعة على وسائل التواصل ووسائل الإعلام العالمية.
Ahmed Al-Ahmad, the Australian hero of Syrian descent, has captured the admiration of the entire world after confronting an armed attack in Bondi, and today (Friday) he was presented with a check worth 2.5 million Australian dollars, equivalent to about 1.65 million US dollars, in recognition of his bravery and heroic sacrifices.
The incident that shook Australia witnessed Al-Ahmad's decisive intervention, as he succeeded in disarming the attacker and saving the lives of citizens in critical moments, before sustaining injuries to his hand and shoulder, which led him to be in the hospital with a medical splint on his left hand.
Al-Ahmad received the check from the famous content creator on Instagram, Zakiri Derinovsky, who documented the moment in a video posted on his account, noting that the amount was raised from donations by around 43,000 people from various parts of the world, in appreciation of his heroic role.
Upon receiving the reward, Ahmed Al-Ahmad humbly said: “Do I deserve this? When I save people, I do it from my heart,” in a message that highlighted his humility despite the extraordinary achievement that saved many lives during the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.
The incident has impressed the international community and has been considered an example of true courage and sacrifice, making Ahmed Al-Ahmad's story one of the most prominent heroic news stories of 2025, with widespread acclaim on social media and global media outlets.
