ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته 5 درجات على مقياس ريختر ولاية ألاسكا الأمريكية.
وأوضحت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية أن الزلزال وقع على بعد 250 كيلومترًا شرق مدينة «تشينياك»، وعلى عمق 8.7 كيلومتر.
ولم ترد حتى الآن أنباء عن وقوع خسائر بشرية أو أضرار مادية جراء الزلزال.
وتقع ألاسكا فوق حزام النار في المحيط الهادي، وهي منطقة التقاء صفائح تكتونية يؤدي احتكاكها ببعضها البعض إلى نشاط زلزالي وبركاني قوي.
A 5-magnitude earthquake struck the state of Alaska in the United States.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred 250 kilometers east of the city of "Chignik," at a depth of 8.7 kilometers.
So far, there have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake.
Alaska is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is an area where tectonic plates meet, causing strong seismic and volcanic activity due to their friction with each other.
