أشعل الملياردير الأمريكي إيلون ماسك مجددا الجدل حول عملة البيتكوين بتصريح مفاجئ ربط فيه قيمة العملة الرقمية بالطاقة، لا بالثقة أو المضاربة. وقال ماسك في منشور عبر منصة X: «المال الورقي يمكن تزويره، لكن لا يمكنك تزييف الطاقة»، معتبرا أن ما يجعل البيتكوين موثوقا هو استهلاكه الحقيقي للكهرباء في عملية التعدين.
الطاقة تتحول إلى أمان
وفقا لماسك، تعتمد كل وحدة بيتكوين على استهلاك كهرباء حقيقية، مما يمنحها قيمة قابلة للقياس وأمانا تشفيريا عبر آلية إثبات العمل، على عكس العملات التقليدية التي قد تُطبع بلا سقف واضح. وأكد أن هذا الارتباط بالواقع الفيزيائي يجعل البيتكوين محصنا ضد الاحتيال والتضخم والتلاعب السياسي.
وبينما يتعرض البيتكوين لهجوم دائم من المدافعين عن البيئة بسبب استهلاكه العالي للطاقة، قلب ماسك المعادلة، مشبها إياه بتعدين الذهب، مؤكدا أن العملية نفسها تمنح العملة مصداقية لا توفرها البنوك المركزية أو السياسات النقدية. كما أشار إلى أن استخدام مصادر الطاقة المتجددة في التعدين يزيد من استدامته ويقلل أثره البيئي.

Musk stated in a post on platform X: "Fiat money can be counterfeited, but you can't counterfeit energy," considering that what makes Bitcoin reliable is its actual consumption of electricity in the mining process.
Energy Transforms into Security
According to Musk, every unit of Bitcoin relies on the consumption of real electricity, which gives it measurable value and cryptographic security through the proof-of-work mechanism, unlike traditional currencies that can be printed without a clear limit. He emphasized that this connection to physical reality makes Bitcoin immune to fraud, inflation, and political manipulation.
While Bitcoin faces constant attacks from environmental advocates due to its high energy consumption, Musk flipped the equation, likening it to gold mining, asserting that the process itself lends the currency credibility that central banks or monetary policies do not provide. He also noted that using renewable energy sources in mining increases its sustainability and reduces its environmental impact.
