أذهل صبي أفغاني يبلغ من العمر 13 عامًا سلطات مطار إنديرا غاندي الدولي في دلهي الأحد عندما وصل إلى المطار مختبئًا في حجرة عجلات طائرة.
ففي مغامرة جريئة تتحدى قوانين البقاء، تمكن الصبي الأفغاني من الوصول إلى نيودلهي من كابول على متن طائرة تابعة لشركة «كام إير»، ليس راكباً، بل متسلل سري مختبئ في حجرة عجلات الطائرة، وهي رحلة محفوفة بالمخاطر قام بها «بدافع الفضول».
ووفقًا للتقارير، فقد هبطت طائرة الخطوط الجوية «كام» رقم RQ-4401 القادمة من كابل في نيودلهي بعد رحلة استغرقت ساعة ونصف (90 دقيقة)، حوالى الساعة 11:10 صباحًا يوم الأحد.
كيف تسلّل إلى حجرة عجلات الطائرة؟
في مجال الطيران، تُعرف محاولات السفر الجوي عالميًا باسم «التسلل إلى حجرة عجلات الطائرة»، إذ يختبئ المسافرون اليائسون داخل حجرة عجلات الطائرة أو أسفلها.
تُعدّ هذه المحاولات محفوفة بالمخاطر للغاية نظرًا للارتفاعات العالية في الجو حيث درجات الحرارة المنخفضة التي تصل حد التجمد، إضافة إلى نقص الأكسجين عند ارتفاعات الطيران، إلى جانب ضيق مساحة الحجرة.
وغالبًا ما تنتهي هذه المحاولات بالوفاة، وعادةً ما يكون ذلك بسبب انخفاض حرارة الجسم.
أثناء سير الطائرة على المدرج في مطار أنديرا غاندي الدولي في دلهي، رصد كبير ضباط الأمن في شركة الطيران الطفل- وهو من مواليد قندوز الأفغانية- يسير على المدرج بالقرب من الطائرة، فأبلغ مركز مراقبة العمليات الأمنية في المطار على الفور، وفقًا لمسؤول في المطار طلب عدم الكشف عن هويته.
وتم احتجاز الصبي بسرعة وتسليمه إلى الأجهزة الأمنية، بما في ذلك قوة الأمن الصناعي المركزية، التي استجوبته ساعات عدة في مبنى الركاب رقم 3.
دافع الفضول
قال مسؤول في قوة الأمن الصناعي المركزية، شريطة عدم الكشف عن هويته، إن الصبي، الذي أُعيد إلى كابل في وقت لاحق من اليوم نفسه، أبلغ المحققين أنه تمكن من التسلل إلى مطار كابل والصعود إلى عجلات الهبوط الخلفية المركزية للطائرة قبل الإقلاع.
ونقل الضابط في قوة الأمن الصناعي المركزية عن الصبي قوله إنه «تمكن من التسلل إلى داخل المطار وعجلات الهبوط دون أن يُكتشف أمره»، وأنه أخبر المسؤولين أنه فعل ذلك بدافع الفضول.
غير أن صحيفة «ذا إنديان إكسبريس» أفادت بأن الصبي كان يرغب في السفر إلى إيران، ولم يكن يعلم أن الرحلة التي صعد إليها متجهة إلى نيودلهي، وليس طهران.
ووفقًا للصحيفة، تسلل الصبي إلى مطار كابل، وتتبع مجموعة من الركاب، واختبأ في تجويف العجلة الخلفية للطائرة - الحجرة الداخلية التي تضم عجلات الهبوط. وكان يحمل معه مكبر الصوت الأحمر فقط.
ويعزو الخبراء نجاة الفتى إلى معجزة، إذ إن الطائرات تحلق على ارتفاعات تراوح بين 9,000 و12,000 متر، حيث تنخفض درجات الحرارة إلى 50 درجة مئوية تحت الصفر.
وشهدت الآونة الأخيرة حوادث تسلل لمسافرين متسللين في رحلات جوية متجهة إلى الولايات المتحدة أو أوروبا، وغالبًا ما هربوا من بلدانهم الأصلية. لكن قلة قليلة منهم نجوا.
ويقول الخبراء إن العديد من المتسللين الذين ينجون من مثل هذه الرحلات غالبًا ما يكونون فاقدي الوعي أثناء الهبوط، مما يعرضهم لخطر السقوط والموت عند إنزال عجلات الهبوط.

A 13-year-old Afghan boy stunned the authorities at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Sunday when he arrived at the airport hidden in the wheel compartment of an airplane.
In a bold adventure that defies the laws of survival, the Afghan boy managed to reach New Delhi from Kabul on a Kam Air flight, not as a passenger, but as a secret stowaway hidden in the aircraft's wheel compartment, a perilous journey he undertook "out of curiosity."
According to reports, the Kam Air flight number RQ-4401 from Kabul landed in New Delhi after a flight lasting an hour and a half (90 minutes) at around 11:10 AM on Sunday.
How did he sneak into the aircraft's wheel compartment?
In aviation, attempts to travel by air are globally known as "stowing away in the wheel compartment," where desperate travelers hide inside or beneath the aircraft's wheel compartment.
These attempts are extremely risky due to the high altitudes where temperatures can drop to freezing levels, in addition to the lack of oxygen at flying altitudes, along with the cramped space of the compartment.
Such attempts often end in death, usually due to hypothermia.
While the aircraft was taxiing on the runway at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, the chief security officer of the airline spotted the child—who is from Kunduz, Afghanistan—walking on the runway near the aircraft, and immediately reported it to the airport's security operations center, according to an airport official who requested anonymity.
The boy was quickly detained and handed over to security agencies, including the Central Industrial Security Force, which interrogated him for several hours in Terminal 3.
Curiosity as a motive
A Central Industrial Security Force official, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that the boy, who was later returned to Kabul on the same day, told investigators that he managed to sneak into Kabul Airport and climb into the central rear landing gear of the aircraft before takeoff.
The officer from the Central Industrial Security Force quoted the boy as saying he "managed to sneak inside the airport and into the landing gear without being detected," and he told officials that he did it out of curiosity.
However, the Indian Express reported that the boy wanted to travel to Iran and was unaware that the flight he boarded was headed to New Delhi, not Tehran.
According to the newspaper, the boy sneaked into Kabul Airport, followed a group of passengers, and hid in the cavity of the rear wheel of the aircraft—the internal compartment that houses the landing gear. He only carried a red megaphone with him.
Experts attribute the boy's survival to a miracle, as planes fly at altitudes ranging from 9,000 to 12,000 meters, where temperatures can drop to 50 degrees Celsius below zero.
Recently, there have been incidents of stowaways on flights heading to the United States or Europe, often fleeing from their home countries. However, very few of them survive.
Experts say that many stowaways who survive such flights often lose consciousness during descent, putting them at risk of falling and dying when the landing gear is lowered.
In January 2024, the bodies of two men were found inside the landing gear of a JetBlue aircraft flying from the Dominican Republic to Florida.
In December 2023, a young Algerian was found in critical condition after a flight from Oran to Paris, suffering from severe hypothermia.
In 2021, a Guatemalan man survived a flight to Miami after hiding in the aircraft's wheel cavity for several hours.
