تسبّب هجوم إلكتروني في استهداف مزود خدمة لأنظمة تسجيل الوصول والصعود في عدد من المطارات بالقارة الأوروبية ما أدى إلى تعطيل العمليات وتأخير أو إلغاء رحلات جوية في مطارات بروكسل وبرلين وهيثرو في لندن.
وقال مشغلو مطارات أوروبية، اليوم (السبت)، إن هجوماً إلكترونياً أدى إلى تعطّل الأنظمة الآلية، مما أجبر المطارات على اللجوء إلى إجراءات يدوية لتسجيل الركاب وصعودهم إلى الطائرات، بحسب ما أفاد به مطار بروكسل. وتسبب الهجوم في تأخير رحلات بمطار العاصمة الألمانية برلين-براندنبورغ، إذ أعلن المطار أن شركة خدمات أنظمة تسجيل الركاب تعرضت لهجوم. وقالت سلطات المطار أن هذا الهجوم أدى إلى قطع الاتصال عن الأنظمة المتضررة. وأوضح المطار أنه من المتوقع نتيجة لذلك أن يواجه الركاب فترات انتظار أطول عند تسجيل الوصول والصعود إلى الطائرات، إضافة إلى تأجيل بعض الرحلات. وجاء في بيان للمطار: «الهجوم لم يستهدف المطار مباشرة، وإنما أصابه بشكل غير مباشر».
An electronic attack targeted a service provider for check-in and boarding systems at several airports in Europe, leading to disruptions in operations and delays or cancellations of flights at Brussels, Berlin, and Heathrow airports in London.
European airport operators said today (Saturday) that a cyberattack caused the automated systems to malfunction, forcing airports to resort to manual procedures for checking in and boarding passengers, according to Brussels Airport. The attack resulted in delays for flights at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, where the airport announced that a passenger check-in system service provider had been attacked. Airport authorities stated that this attack led to a loss of connection to the affected systems. The airport clarified that as a result, passengers are expected to face longer wait times during check-in and boarding, in addition to some flight delays. The airport's statement said: "The attack did not directly target the airport, but it affected it indirectly."
