A young Egyptian woman, Mariam Al-Nashar from the city of Tanta in Egypt, issued a distress call through a video clip circulated on social media, following a series of tragedies she has endured. She explained that her family was involved in a tragic car accident on the Alamein International Road in July 2024, during a summer trip to Marsa Matrouh, which resulted in the death of her father, her son Adam (5 years old), and her sister Nada (21 years old), while the other family members sustained serious injuries.

Effects of the Incident

Mariam suffered fractures in her jaw, neck, and pelvis, and complications led to the loss of one of her arms, while her sister Nahal sustained a spinal injury that left her unable to move, and Haneen underwent complex surgeries to stabilize her bones. As for her mother, she lost her life two days later due to the severe psychological shock caused by the cousin who informed her of the death of family members while she was in critical medical condition, according to her claims.

Family Dispute

After overcoming the treatment phase, the young Egyptian woman found herself facing a new family dispute, as her uncle expelled her and her sister Haneen from the family home and deprived them of their inheritance. Mariam filed legal cases to reclaim her rightful rights, but she did not achieve any results, accusing her uncle of exploiting his influence to prevent the enforcement of the laws.

Calls for Justice

Through the video she posted, Mariam appealed to the official authorities to intervene and help her recover her rights, confirming that she is currently living in her grandmother's house and suffering from severe physical and psychological effects due to the tragic incident and the complete loss of her family.
