شهدت محافظتا أسوان والأقصر جنوب مصر، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، حادثين مروعين أوديا بحياة 8 أشخاص وإصابة العشرات، في ظروف أثارت حالة من الحزن والصدمة بين الأهالي.
الحادث الأول وقع على طريق الشلاتين بمحافظة أسوان، والثاني على الطريق الصحراوي الشرقي بمحافظة الأقصر.
وفي محافظة أسوان، تلقت الأجهزة الأمنية بلاغاً بوقوع حادث مروع على طريق الشلاتين، على بعد 35 كيلومتراً من بوابة الحدود.
وانتقلت قوات الشرطة وسيارات الإسعاف على الفور إلى موقع الحادث، وتبين أن سيارة قد تفحمت بالكامل، ما أسفر عن وفاة 5 أشخاص داخلها، وقامت قوات الحماية المدنية بالسيطرة على الحريق ورفع حطام السيارة لإعادة فتح الطريق.
وتم نقل الجثامين إلى مشرحة مستشفى الإخلاء تحت تصرف النيابة العامة، التي بدأت التحقيق للكشف عن أسباب الحادث وملابساته.
في الوقت نفسه، شهدت محافظة الأقصر حادث انقلاب أتوبيس نقل ركاب على الطريق الصحراوي الشرقي «المحور»، أثناء توجهه من الأقصر إلى القاهرة، و أسفر الحادث عن وفاة 3 أشخاص وإصابة 38 آخرين.
وتم نقل المصابين إلى مستشفيي الكرنك الدولي والمجمع الطبي الدولي بالأقصر لتلقي العلاج، وأفاد شهود عيان أن الحادث وقع بسبب السرعة الزائدة أثناء محاولة السائق أخذ منعطف قبل محور اللواء سمير فرج، ما أدى إلى فقدان السيطرة وانقلاب الأتوبيس.
وتدخلت غرفة الأزمات والكوارث بمحافظة الأقصر بقيادة محسن الشامي، وتم الدفع بـ26 سيارة إسعاف لنقل المصابين.
The governorates of Aswan and Luxor in southern Egypt witnessed two horrific incidents today (Tuesday) that resulted in the deaths of 8 people and injuries to dozens, under circumstances that have caused a state of sadness and shock among the locals.
The first incident occurred on the Shalatin road in Aswan governorate, and the second on the eastern desert road in Luxor governorate.
In Aswan governorate, security forces received a report of a horrific accident on the Shalatin road, 35 kilometers from the border gate.
Police and ambulance crews immediately rushed to the scene of the accident, where it was found that a car had been completely burned, resulting in the death of 5 people inside it. Civil protection forces managed to control the fire and remove the wreckage of the car to reopen the road.
The bodies were transferred to the morgue of the evacuation hospital under the supervision of the public prosecution, which has begun an investigation to uncover the causes and circumstances of the accident.
At the same time, Luxor governorate witnessed a bus overturning on the eastern desert road "the axis," while it was heading from Luxor to Cairo. The accident resulted in the deaths of 3 people and injuries to 38 others.
The injured were transported to Karnak International Hospital and the International Medical Complex in Luxor for treatment. Eyewitnesses reported that the accident occurred due to excessive speed while the driver was attempting to take a turn before the Samir Farag axis, leading to a loss of control and the bus overturning.
The crisis and disaster room in Luxor governorate, led by Mohsen Al-Shami, intervened, and 26 ambulances were dispatched to transport the injured.
