فاز رجل أمريكي في مقاطعة برينس جورج بولاية ماريلاند بمليون دولار في يانصيب (باور بول) بشرائه تذكرتين لنفس السحب من دون أن يتذكر ذلك.
وذكر الرجل لموظفي اليانصيب أنه كان في حيرة من أمره حيث لم يستطع تذكر ما إذا كان قد اشترى تذكرة بالفعل أم لا، مما دفعه لشراء تذكرة إضافية بخيار (Double Play) الخاص باليانصيب، ليفوز بجائزة قدرها 500 ألف دولار على كل تذكرة.
وبعد عودته إلى المنزل، اكتشف المفاجأة السارة حيث وجد أنه يملك تذكرة إضافية فائزة بنفس قيمة الجائزة، ليجمع بذلك مليون دولار. وأعرب الرجل عن تفاؤله بأن الحظ سيواصل منحه الهدايا في المستقبل.
An American man in Prince George's County, Maryland, won a million dollars in the Powerball lottery after purchasing two tickets for the same draw without remembering it.
The man told lottery officials that he was confused as he couldn't recall whether he had actually bought a ticket or not, which led him to buy an additional ticket with the lottery's Double Play option, winning a prize of $500,000 on each ticket.
Upon returning home, he discovered the pleasant surprise that he had an additional winning ticket of the same prize value, totaling a million dollars. The man expressed his optimism that luck would continue to grant him gifts in the future.
