أعلنت وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية في مصر وفاة اثنين وإصابة 6 أشخاص، في انفجار مجمع بلوف خط الغاز بمنطقة أبو سلطان بمحافظة الإسماعيلية.
وقالت وزارة البترول في بيان لها، مساء اليوم (الأحد)، إنه في تمام الساعة 6:40 مساء ورد بلاغ إلى منطقة السويس البترولية بوقوع صوت شديد في مجمع بلوف خط الغاز بمنطقة أبو سلطان بمحافظة الإسماعيلية، وعلى الفور تم توجيه فرق الطوارئ إلى الموقع، وتبين أن الحادث وقع أثناء تنفيذ أعمال روتينية لتجهيز خط الغاز تمهيداً لأعمال الصيانة.
وأكدت الوزارة أن القطاع الذي وقع به الحادث كان مفرغاً تماماً من الغاز قبل بدء الأعمال، أي أنه لم يكن يحتوي على غاز طبيعي وقت وقوع الحادث، وقد تبين عند وصول الفرق الفنية انفصال مصيدة الإرسال عن الخط من نقطة اللحام.
وأشارت إلى أن الحادث أسفر عن حالتي وفاة و6 إصابات جرى نقلها إلى مستشفى فايد العام لتلقي الرعاية الطبية اللازمة. وتؤكد الوزارة أن الحادث لم يؤثر على إمدادات الغاز، نظراً لأن الخط في هذه المنطقة خالٍ من الغاز بالفعل.

The Ministry of Petroleum stated in a statement this evening (Sunday) that at 6:40 PM, a report was received by the Suez Petroleum Area regarding a loud noise at the gas line valve station in the Abu Sultan area of Ismailia Governorate. Emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the site, and it was determined that the incident occurred during routine work to prepare the gas line for maintenance.
The ministry confirmed that the sector where the incident occurred was completely empty of gas before the work began, meaning it did not contain natural gas at the time of the incident. Upon the arrival of the technical teams, it was found that the sending trap had separated from the line at the welding point.
It was noted that the incident resulted in two fatalities and six injuries, who were transported to Fayid General Hospital for necessary medical care. The ministry assures that the incident did not affect gas supplies, as the line in this area was already free of gas.
