شهدت ولاية كابول أفغانستان، صباح اليوم (الأربعاء)، حادثة سير مأساوية راح ضحيتها 25 شخصًا وأصيب 27 آخرون، بعد انقلاب حافلة على الطريق السريع المؤدي إلى قندهار، وفق ما أفادت به السلطات المحلية. وأرجع المتحدث باسم وزارة الداخلية عبدالمتين قاني سبب الحادثة إلى «إهمال السائق»، فيما نُقل المصابون إلى مستشفيات مختلفة لتلقي العلاج.
وتأتي هذه الحادثة بعد أسبوع فقط من تصادم مروع بين حافلة وشاحنة ودراجة نارية أسفر عن مقتل 76 شخصًا بينهم 19 طفلًا، ما يجعلها واحدة من أكثر الحوادث دموية في البلاد خلال السنوات الأخيرة. وتعاني أفغانستان من حوادث سير متكررة بسبب سوء حالة الطرق، ونقص الالتزام بقواعد السلامة، والإهمال، إضافة إلى ضعف تطبيق القوانين المرورية.
وفي ديسمبر الماضي، شهدت أفغانستان حادثتين منفصلتين بين حافلات وشاحنات، أسفرتا عن مقتل 52 شخصًا، ما يعكس هشاشة البنية التحتية المرورية في البلاد وخطورة السفر على الطرقات.
The Kabul province of Afghanistan witnessed a tragic traffic accident this morning (Wednesday), resulting in the deaths of 25 people and injuries to 27 others, after a bus overturned on the highway leading to Kandahar, according to local authorities. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Abdul Mateen Ghani, attributed the cause of the accident to "driver negligence," while the injured were transported to various hospitals for treatment.
This incident comes just a week after a horrific collision between a bus, a truck, and a motorcycle that resulted in the deaths of 76 people, including 19 children, making it one of the deadliest accidents in the country in recent years. Afghanistan suffers from frequent traffic accidents due to poor road conditions, a lack of adherence to safety regulations, negligence, and weak enforcement of traffic laws.
Last December, Afghanistan experienced two separate incidents involving buses and trucks, which resulted in the deaths of 52 people, reflecting the fragility of the country's traffic infrastructure and the dangers of traveling on its roads.
