خيّم الحزن على جزيرة وايت البريطانية بعد حادثة تحطّم مروحية مأساوي أودت بحياة ثلاثة أشخاص بينهم زوجان بولنديان، هما جوستينا تشوسكا وفويتك كوفالكوسكي، وذلك خلال أول درس طيران لهما.
وكانت الطائرة الخاصة تقل أربعة أشخاص بينهم الطيار، عندما سقطت في حقل قرب بلدة فينتنور صباح أمس (الإثنين) ما أسفر عن وفاة ثلاثة ركاب ونقل الرابع إلى المستشفى في حالة حرجة.
وأطلقت ابنة الزوجين البولنديين جوستينا حملة تبرعات عبر الإنترنت للمساعدة في إعادة جثمان والديها إلى بولندا لدفنهما بجوار عائلتهما. وأشارت إلى أن الفاجعة «كسرت قلوب الجميع وتركت العائلة في صدمة كبيرة».
ولا تزال التحقيقات جارية من قبل فرع التحقيق في حوادث الطيران (AAIB) لتحديد أسباب الحادثة التي صدمت المجتمع المحلي وأثارت تعاطفًا واسعًا عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، فيما وجّه مسؤولون بريطانيون الشكر لفرق الطوارئ التي هرعت إلى موقع الكارثة.
Sadness has descended upon the British Isle of Wight following a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of three people, including a Polish couple, Justyna Chuska and Wojtek Kowalkowski, during their first flying lesson.
The private aircraft was carrying four people, including the pilot, when it crashed in a field near the town of Ventnor yesterday morning (Monday), resulting in the death of three passengers and the fourth being taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The daughter of the Polish couple, Justyna, launched an online fundraising campaign to help return her parents' bodies to Poland for burial next to their family. She noted that the tragedy "broke everyone's hearts and left the family in great shock."
Investigations are still ongoing by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) to determine the causes of the incident, which has shocked the local community and sparked widespread sympathy on social media, while British officials expressed gratitude to the emergency teams that rushed to the disaster site.
