تمكنت قوات الحماية المدنية بمحافظة الإسكندرية، من السيطرة على حريق ضخم اندلع في منطقة البتروكيماويات التابعة لحي العامرية أول غرب المدينة.
الحريق بدأ في كميات من الهيش والمخلفات، وامتد إلى ساحتي تخزين للمركبات المخالفة (الحضانات)، مما أسفر عن تدمير 96 مركبة، دون وقوع إصابات بشرية.
وفي التفاصيل، تلقت غرفة عمليات النجدة بلاغاً باندلاع الحريق، فتحركت الأجهزة الأمنية بسرعة، بمساندة سيارات الحماية المدنية وسيارات إطفاء إضافية من شركات البترول المجاورة، وتم إخماد النيران ومنع امتدادها إلى المباني القريبة، مع إجراء عمليات التبريد اللازمة لتأمين المنطقة.
وكشفت المعاينة الأولية أن الحريق أتلف 62 توك توك و4 تروسيكل في الحضانة الخاصة بنقطة شرطة البتروكيماويات، إضافة إلى 20 سيارة و5 تروسيكل و5 دراجات بخارية في الحضانة التابعة لمحافظة الإسكندرية.
كما اندلع حريق آخر في مخزن خشب بدار أيتام خالية مكون من ثلاثة أدوار في منطقة الناصرية بجوار مركز شباب كرموز، وتمت السيطرة عليه دون خسائر بشرية، مع تسجيل أضرار مادية.
وأمرت النيابة العامة بالإسكندرية بفتح تحقيق عاجل للوقوف على أسباب الحرائق، وندبت الأدلة الجنائية لمعاينة المواقع وإعداد تقرير مفصل، كما طلبت تحريات المباحث حول ملابسات الحادثة، واستدعاء مسؤولي الحضانات للتحقيق في إجراءات السلامة المتبعة.
وأكدت التحقيقات الأولية عدم وجود شبهة جنائية في حريق البتروكيماويات، مشيرة إلى أن النيران بدأت في المخلفات وامتدت إلى المناطق المجاورة.
فيما أكدت الأجهزة التنفيذية بحي غرب الإسكندرية تعاونها مع الجهات المختصة لمتابعة الموقف، مع اتخاذ تدابير لضمان سلامة المواطنين وحماية المناطق المحيطة.
وتم تحرير محاضر رسمية بالواقعتين، وتتولى النيابة استكمال التحقيقات واتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة.
وتُعد منطقة البتروكيماويات في العامرية، غرب الإسكندرية، مركزاً صناعياً مهماً يضم العديد من الشركات البترولية والمنشآت الصناعية.
كما تُستخدم المنطقة لتخزين المركبات المخالفة لقوانين المرور في ساحات مخصصة تُعرف بـ«الحضانات».
وتُشكل الحرائق في مثل هذه المناطق خطرًا كبيرًا؛ بسبب وجود مواد قابلة للاشتعال مثل الهيش والمخلفات، إضافة إلى القرب من منشآت حيوية.
The Civil Protection Forces in Alexandria Governorate managed to control a massive fire that broke out in the petrochemical area of the Al-Amiriya district, west of the city.
The fire started in quantities of brush and waste and spread to two storage yards for violating vehicles (known as "hospitals"), resulting in the destruction of 96 vehicles, with no human injuries reported.
In detail, the emergency operations room received a report about the fire, prompting security forces to respond quickly, supported by Civil Protection vehicles and additional fire trucks from neighboring oil companies. The flames were extinguished, and efforts were made to prevent their spread to nearby buildings, along with necessary cooling operations to secure the area.
The initial inspection revealed that the fire damaged 62 tuk-tuks and 4 tricycles in the storage yard of the petrochemical police station, in addition to 20 cars, 5 tricycles, and 5 motorcycles in the storage yard belonging to Alexandria Governorate.
Another fire broke out in a wooden warehouse at an empty orphanage consisting of three floors in the Nasiriya area next to the Karmouz Youth Center, and it was controlled without any human losses, although material damages were recorded.
The Public Prosecution in Alexandria ordered an urgent investigation to determine the causes of the fires and appointed forensic evidence teams to inspect the sites and prepare a detailed report. They also requested investigations by the police regarding the circumstances of the incident and summoned the responsible parties for the storage yards to investigate the safety procedures followed.
Initial investigations confirmed that there was no criminal suspicion in the petrochemical fire, indicating that the flames started in the waste and spread to adjacent areas.
Meanwhile, the executive authorities in West Alexandria confirmed their cooperation with the relevant authorities to monitor the situation, taking measures to ensure the safety of citizens and protect surrounding areas.
Official reports were filed regarding the two incidents, and the prosecution is continuing the investigations and taking the necessary legal actions.
The petrochemical area in Al-Amiriya, west of Alexandria, is an important industrial center that includes many oil companies and industrial facilities.
The area is also used for storing vehicles that violate traffic laws in designated yards known as "hospitals."
Fires in such areas pose a significant risk due to the presence of flammable materials like brush and waste, in addition to being close to vital facilities.
