شهدت العاصمة الألمانية برلين، فجر اليوم (الثلاثاء)، اندلاع النيران في 36 شاحنة في منطقتين مختلفتين بالعاصمة، في حادثة يُشتبه أنها عمل تخريبي متعمد.
وأفادت إدارة الإطفاء في برلين أن أول مكالمة استغاثة وردت قبل الساعة الـ3:00 صباحًا، إذ هرعت فرق الإطفاء إلى موقعين في أحياء متفرقة من المدينة للسيطرة على الحرائق التي التهمت الشاحنات.
ولم تُسجل أي إصابات بشرية حتى الآن، لكن الأضرار المادية كبيرة، إذ تحوّلت الشاحنات إلى حطام متفحم، وأعلنت الشرطة الألمانية أنها فتحت تحقيقًا للكشف عن أسباب الحريق، مع ترجيح فرضية الحرق المتعمد بناءً على طبيعة الحادثة وتعدد المواقع.
ودعت السلطات الألمانية السكان في مناطق اندلاع النيران بالشاحنات إلى ضرورة الإبلاغ عن أي معلومات قد تساعد في التحقيق، متعهدة بتكثيف الإجراءات الأمنية في المناطق الصناعية ومواقف الشاحنات لمنع تكرار مثل هذه الحوادث.
وتداولت منصة «إكس» صورًا ومقاطع فيديو تُظهر ألسنة اللهب وأعمدة الدخان تتصاعد من مواقع الحريق، مع تعبير المستخدمين عن صدمتهم من الحادثة وقلقهم من تصاعد مثل هذه الأعمال التخريبية في العاصمة الألمانية.
وتشهد برلين، كغيرها من المدن الأوروبية الكبرى، حوادث حرق متعمد من حين لآخر، غالبًا ما تُنسب إلى دوافع سياسية أو اجتماعية، وفي السنوات الأخيرة، سُجلت هجمات تخريبية عدة استهدفت البنية التحتية، مثل حريق متعمد في مصنع تسلا قرب برلين عام 2024، الذي تبنته مجموعة يسارية متطرفة، مما أدى إلى توقف الإنتاج وخسائر بمئات الملايين من اليوروهات.
وتُعتبر مثل هذه الحوادث تحديًا أمنيًا كبيرًا، خصوصاً في ظل التوترات الاجتماعية والسياسية التي تشهدها ألمانيا، بما في ذلك الاحتجاجات ضد مشاريع صناعية أو قضايا بيئية، وتُطالب الجهات المحلية بزيادة الاستثمار في كاميرات المراقبة ودوريات الأمن للحد من هذه الاعتداءات.
The German capital, Berlin, witnessed a fire breaking out in 36 trucks in two different areas of the city early this morning (Tuesday), in an incident suspected to be deliberate sabotage.
The Berlin Fire Department reported that the first emergency call came in before 3:00 AM, prompting fire crews to rush to two locations in various neighborhoods of the city to control the fires that engulfed the trucks.
No injuries have been reported so far, but the material damage is significant, as the trucks have turned into charred wreckage. The German police announced that they have opened an investigation to uncover the causes of the fire, with the hypothesis of arson being favored based on the nature of the incident and the multiple locations involved.
The German authorities urged residents in the areas where the truck fires occurred to report any information that may assist in the investigation, pledging to intensify security measures in industrial areas and truck parking lots to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
The platform "X" circulated images and videos showing flames and columns of smoke rising from the fire sites, with users expressing their shock at the incident and concern over the rise of such acts of sabotage in the German capital.
Berlin, like other major European cities, experiences incidents of arson from time to time, often attributed to political or social motives. In recent years, several sabotage attacks targeting infrastructure have been recorded, such as the deliberate fire at a Tesla factory near Berlin in 2024, claimed by a radical leftist group, which resulted in production halts and losses amounting to hundreds of millions of euros.
Such incidents are considered a significant security challenge, especially amid the social and political tensions in Germany, including protests against industrial projects or environmental issues. Local authorities are calling for increased investment in surveillance cameras and security patrols to reduce these assaults.
