في عملية نوعية أُطلق عليها اسم «قاع الظلام»، أحبطت إدارة مكافحة المخدرات في القيادة العامة لشرطة الشارقة، بالتعاون مع القيادة العامة لشرطة أبوظبي، وبالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة لمكافحة المخدرات الاتحادية بوزارة الداخلية، محاولة لترويج أكثر من 3.5 مليون قرص من مادة الكبتاغون المخدرة، بلغ وزنها الإجمالي ما يقارب 585 كيلوغراماً، وتُقدّر قيمتها السوقية بأكثر من 19 مليون درهم.
وكانت العملية ضربة استباقية لتشكيلٍ عصابي رُصدت تحركاته بدقة، حاول استخدام أساليب تمويه لإخفاء المواد المخدرة، والإفلات من يد العدالة، إلا أن محاولتهم باءت بالفشل بعد أن أحكمت الأجهزة الأمنية قبضتها، وأحبطت المخطط في مهده.
ودعت القيادة العامة لشرطة الشارقة أفراد المجتمع إلى تعزيز تعاونهم مع الجهات المختصة، والإبلاغ عن أي نشاطات يشبته بها تتعلق بالمخدرات عبر الرقم المجاني 8004654 أو البريد الإلكتروني dea@shjpolice.gov.ae.
In a qualitative operation dubbed "The Dark Bottom," the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Sharjah Police General Command, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Police General Command and in coordination with the Federal Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Interior, thwarted an attempt to promote more than 3.5 million pills of the narcotic substance Captagon, weighing approximately 585 kilograms, with an estimated market value of over 19 million dirhams.
The operation was a preemptive strike against a criminal gang whose movements were closely monitored. They attempted to use camouflage methods to hide the narcotic materials and evade justice, but their efforts failed as the security agencies tightened their grip and thwarted the scheme in its infancy.
The Sharjah Police General Command called on community members to enhance their cooperation with the relevant authorities and report any suspicious activities related to drugs via the toll-free number 8004654 or the email dea@shjpolice.gov.ae.
