نفت الجمعية الفلكية بجدة صحة المزاعم التي انتشرت أخيراً على بعض منصّات التواصل الاجتماعي عن رصد «جسم طائر ضخم» يحلّق فوق الشمس، يمتد جناحاه إلى نحو 150 ألف كيلومتر ويزيد حجمه على حجم كوكب الأرض بعشرة أضعاف.
وأوضحت الجمعية، أن الصور المتداولة تعود إلى تلسكوبات فضائية مخصَّصة لرصد الشمس، وعلى رأسها المرصد الشمسي «سوهو»، وتُظهِر في الحقيقة «تشويشاً بصرياً» ناتجاً عن جسيمات مشحونة أو انعكاسات عدسية.
وأضافت عبر حسابها الرسمي بمنصة «X» اليوم (الإثنين)، أنه لا دليل علمياً على وجود جسم مادي كهذا، ولم تصدر أية جهة موثوقة تأكيداً لذلك.
يُذكر أن مرصد «سوهو»، مشروع مشترك بين «ناسا» و«وكالة الفضاء الأوروبية»، يرسل يومياً آلاف الصور لمراقبة النشاط الشمسي ويمكن لأي شخص الاطلاع عليها عبر موقعه الرسمي، ما يجعلها عرضة لاجتهادات وتأويلات غير متخصصة إذا جرى اقتطاعها من سياقها العلمي.
The Astronomical Society in Jeddah has denied the claims that have recently spread on some social media platforms about the observation of a "huge flying object" hovering over the sun, with wings extending to about 150,000 kilometers and a size ten times that of planet Earth.
The society clarified that the circulated images are from space telescopes dedicated to observing the sun, primarily the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), and they actually show "optical distortion" caused by charged particles or lens reflections.
It added through its official account on the platform "X" today (Monday) that there is no scientific evidence for the existence of such a physical object, and no reliable entity has confirmed this.
It is worth noting that the SOHO observatory, a joint project between NASA and the European Space Agency, sends thousands of images daily to monitor solar activity, and anyone can view them on its official website, making them susceptible to interpretations and misinterpretations if taken out of their scientific context.
