عثرت فرق الإنقاذ على جثث خمسة متزلجين قرب منتجع سويسري. وتم انتشال الجثث بعد يوم من إبلاغ خدمات الطوارئ من قِبل مجموعة من المتسلقين كانوا يصعدون قمة ريمبفيشهورن - وهي قمة يبلغ ارتفاعها 4199 متراً في جبال الألب.
وذكرت الشرطة المحلية في بيان لها اليوم (الأحد)، أن عمليات البحث الجوية والأرضية أسفرت عن اكتشاف الجثث أسفل قمة نهر أدلر الجليدي. وعُثر على الضحايا على ارتفاعات متفاوتة فوق حطام انهيار جليدي في مناطق مرتفعة قرب الحدود السويسرية الإيطالية.
وذكرت خدمة الإنقاذ «إير زيرمات» أنه عُثر على ثلاث جثث في منطقة واحدة، واثنتين أخريين على رقعة ضيقة من الثلج. وعُثر لاحقاً على زوج خامس من الزلاجات أثناء البحث، ما يؤكد أن الضحايا كانوا يسافرون كمجموعة من خمسة أشخاص. ولم تُكشف هوياتهم رسمياً بعد. وفتح مكتب المدعي العام تحقيقاً في ملابسات الحادث.
Rescue teams found the bodies of five skiers near a Swiss resort. The bodies were retrieved a day after emergency services were alerted by a group of climbers who were ascending the summit of Rimpfischhorn - a peak that rises 4,199 meters in the Alps.
The local police stated in a statement today (Sunday) that aerial and ground search operations resulted in the discovery of the bodies beneath the summit of the Adler Glacier. The victims were found at varying elevations above the wreckage of an avalanche in high-altitude areas near the Swiss-Italian border.
The rescue service "Air Zermatt" reported that three bodies were found in one area, and two others on a narrow patch of snow. A fifth pair of skis was later found during the search, confirming that the victims were traveling as a group of five. Their identities have not yet been officially disclosed. The public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
