وذكر بيان للمتحدث العسكري باسم القوات المسلحة المصرية، أنه في إطار تنفيذ النشاط التدريبي للقوات الجوية اليوم (الإثنين)، سقطت طائرة تدريب بإحدى مناطق التدريب نتيجة عطل فني واستشهاد طاقمها، وجارٍ اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة بمعرفة الجهات المختصة.
وتقدمت القوات المسلحة بخالص التعازي لأسر الشهداء، داعين الله عز وجل أن يتغمدهم بواسع الرحمة والمغفرة وأن يلهم ذويهم الصبر والسلوان.
ووفقًا لمصادر محلية وشهود عيان، سقطت الطائرة التي يُعتقد أنها كانت تقوم بمهمة تدريب روتينية، نتيجة عطل فني مفاجئ، مما أثار حالة من الذعر والهلع بين المواطنين المتواجدين في المكان.
وهرعت قوات قسم شرطة رأس البر مدعومة بسيارات الإسعاف والدفاع المدني إلى موقع الحادث، وفرضت طوقا أمنيا واسعا حول المنطقة لتأمين الموقع وتسهيل عمليات البحث والإنقاذ.
وذكرت المصادر الأولية أن الطائرة سقطت في مياه البحر، مما استدعى الإنقاذ البحري لتأمين الموقع والبحث عن ناجين أو مصابين، فيما تواصل الجهات المختصة التحقيق للوقوف على الأسباب الدقيقة للحادث.
وتداول مواطنون ومصطفون في منطقة سقوط الطائرة صورًا ومقاطع فيديو عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي تُظهر تجمعات وتحركات الأجهزة الأمنية في مكان الحادث، والدفع بعدد واسع من سيارات الإسعاف.
