أرسلت شركة أبل إشعارات إلى عدد من مستخدميها حول العالم، تفيد بأن أجهزتهم كانت هدفًا لهجمات تجسسية بواسطة برامج تجسس متطورة.
وهذه الخطوة تأتي في إطار سياسة الشركة بإخطار المستخدمين فور رصد أي محاولات لاختراق أجهزتهم أو حساباتهم.
رفع مستوى الوعي
وذكرت بعض الهيئات الوطنية للأمن السيبراني في العديد من البلدان أنها على علم بأن أبل أرسلت إشعارات جديدة لبعض عملائها.
ويعني تلقّي مثل هذا الإشعار أن جهازًا واحدًا على الأقل مرتبطاً بحساب «آي كلاود» للمستخدم قد تم استهدافه وربما اختراقه.
حتى الآن، لم يتضح عدد المستخدمين الذين تلقوا هذا التحذير الأخير، كما لم يتم الكشف عن طبيعة برنامج التجسس المستخدم أو الفترة التي بدأت خلالها عمليات الاختراق.
من جانبها، لم تصدر أبل تعليقًا رسميًا على استفسارات وسائل الإعلام بشأن الحادثة.
لكنها أوضحت في بيانات سابقة أن مثل هذه الإشعارات تهدف إلى رفع مستوى وعي الضحايا وحثهم على اتخاذ إجراءات وقائية، بما في ذلك التواصل مع مختبر الأمن الرقمي التابع لمنظمة «Access Now» للحصول على دعم تقني مباشر.
