أصدرت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية فجر اليوم (الثلاثاء) تنبيهاً أمنياً عاجلاً حول إيران، حثت فيه رعاياها على النظر في مغادرتها برّاً عبر أرمينيا أو تركيا، نتيجة الاحتجاجات المتزايدة والإجراءات الأمنية المشددة، بما في ذلك إغلاق الطرق، واضطرابات وسائل النقل العام، وانقطاع الإنترنت المستمر.
وحذّرت الوزارة من استمرار تقييد أو إلغاء الرحلات الجوية إلى ومن إيران حتى يوم الجمعة 16 يناير، مشيرة إلى ضرورة التخطيط لوسائل اتصال بديلة بسبب انقطاع الإنترنت.
وأوضحت الخارجية أن المواطنين الأمريكيين الإيرانيين مزدوجي الجنسية يجب أن يغادروا إيران باستخدام جوازاتهم الإيرانية، مشيرة إلى أن الحكومة الإيرانية لا تعترف بازدواج الجنسية، وستتعامل مع هؤلاء باعتبارهم إيرانيين فقط.
وشددت على أن المواطنين الأمريكيين معرضون بشكل كبير للاستجواب، والاعتقال، والاحتجاز، وأن إظهار جواز السفر الأمريكي أو أي صلة بالولايات المتحدة قد يُستخدم كذريعة للاحتجاز.
وفي سياق متصل، أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب فرض رسوم جمركية بنسبة 25% على أي دولة تتعامل تجارياً مع جمهورية إيران الإسلامية، في خطوة إضافية من واشنطن لتعزيز الضغط على طهران.
The U.S. Department of State issued an urgent security alert regarding Iran early this morning (Tuesday), urging its citizens to consider leaving the country overland via Armenia or Turkey, due to increasing protests and heightened security measures, including road closures, disruptions in public transportation, and ongoing internet outages.
The department warned that flight restrictions or cancellations to and from Iran will continue until Friday, January 16, noting the need to plan for alternative means of communication due to internet disruptions.
The State Department clarified that American citizens of Iranian dual nationality should leave Iran using their Iranian passports, pointing out that the Iranian government does not recognize dual nationality and will treat them as Iranians only.
It emphasized that American citizens are at significant risk of interrogation, arrest, and detention, and that presenting a U.S. passport or any connection to the United States may be used as a pretext for detention.
In a related context, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on any country that conducts trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an additional move by Washington to increase pressure on Tehran.
