واصل حارس مرمى منتخب مصر مصطفى شوبير كتابة التاريخ برفقة «الفراعنة» خلال مشاركته في النسخة الحالية من بطولة كأس العالم 2026، وبمشاركته أساسياً أمام إيران رفع عدد مبارياته في كأس العالم 2026 إلى 3 مباريات، ليصبح أكثر حارس في تاريخ «الفراعنة» مشاركة في نسخة واحدة من البطولة، معادلاً رقم والده أحمد شوبير الذي خاض 3 مباريات مع المنتخب المصري في كأس العالم 1990 التي أقيمت في إيطاليا.
