أعلن الاتحاد العُماني لكرة القدم، اليوم، تعاقده رسمياً مع المدرب المغربي طارق السكتيوي لقيادة المنتخب الأول خلال المرحلة القادمة، وذلك في إطار الاستعداد للاستحقاقات القادمة، بعد إعلان الاتحاد انفصاله عن المدرب البرتغالي كارلوس كيروش بالتراضي بين الطرفين.
وأوضح الاتحاد، في بيان نشره عبر موقعه الرسمي على منصة التواصل الاجتماعي «X»، أن المدرب المغربي سيتولى مهمة الإشراف الفني على المنتخب، واضعاً نصب عينيه تحقيق نتائج إيجابية تعكس تطلعات الكرة العُمانية.
ويعد السكتيوي من الأسماء التدريبية التي برزت في الفترة الأخيرة، حيث يمتلك خبرة فنية مميزة، ونجح في ترك بصمة واضحة على مستوى المنتخبات، فضلاً عن قيادته منتخب بلاده للتتويج بلقب كأس العرب التي استضافتها الدوحة، العام الماضي، بعد تحقيق الفوز في المباراة النهائية، على نظيره الأردني بثلاثة أهداف لاثنين بعد التمديد، في المباراة النهائية التي جرت على استاد لوسيل بالدوحة.
The Oman Football Association announced today that it has officially contracted Moroccan coach Tarek Skitiwi to lead the national team during the upcoming phase, as part of the preparations for the upcoming challenges, following the announcement of the association's mutual separation from Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz.
The association clarified in a statement published on its official website on the social media platform "X" that the Moroccan coach will take on the task of overseeing the technical aspects of the team, with the aim of achieving positive results that reflect the aspirations of Omani football.
Skitiwi is considered one of the prominent coaching names that have emerged recently, possessing distinctive technical experience, and he has succeeded in leaving a clear mark at the national team level, in addition to leading his country’s team to win the Arab Cup title hosted by Doha last year, after achieving victory in the final match against their Jordanian counterpart with a score of three goals to two after extra time, in the final match held at Lusail Stadium in Doha.
