The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Mashel, expressed his utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Prime Minister, for the support that sports in the Kingdom, especially football, receive. This support has allowed the Saudi national team to achieve one of its most significant milestones by qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, marking the seventh time in the history of Saudi football and the third consecutive time.

Al-Mashel praised the efforts of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, who has dedicated all resources to support the Saudi national team, in addition to the continuous follow-up of the team's preparations throughout its journey in the World Cup qualifying matches.

Al-Mashel extended his congratulations to the players of the national team and the technical and administrative staff on the occasion of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, commending the high level displayed by the Green players in achieving the dream of the World Cup and bringing joy to Saudi fans, thus writing a new achievement for Saudi football.

The Chairman of the Saudi Federation also sincerely congratulated the Saudi fans on the national team's qualification for the World Cup finals, appreciating their tremendous support for the team throughout its qualifying journey, and praising the wonderful image the fans created in the stands, representing a model of support and encouragement.

Al-Mashel confirmed that the Saudi Football Federation will begin tomorrow to develop a preparation plan for the Saudi national team for the 2026 World Cup, aiming for a distinguished performance that befits Saudi football on the global football stage.
