بارك رئيس نادي الباطن الدكتور خالد الهويدي بتأهل منتخبنا الأول لكرة القدم إلى نهائيات كأس العالم 2026 بأمريكا والمكسيك وكندا، وقال: «نبارك لمقام خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، ولمقام ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، ولوزير الرياضة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي ولرئيس وأعضاء الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم وللشعب السعودي هذا التأهل».
وأضاف: «هذا الإنجاز يضاف للإنجازات العديدة التي تحققت وستتحقق بفضل الله ثم بالدعم الكبير الذي يلقاه الرياضيون من قبل القيادة». وأضاف: «الحمد لله ما تحقق من إنجاز ما هو إلا جهد كبير بذل من الجميع». وأشاد الهويدي باللاعبين وما قدموه طوال مشوار التصفيات، وقال: «اللاعبون قدموا طوال مشوار التصفيات مستويات كبيرة توجوها بهذا التأهل العالمي، وطموحنا كبير ولن يتوقف عند التأهل، وبحول الله الأخضر سيواصل مشواره في النهائيات وسيظهر بأفضل صورة، وكلنا ثقة بنجومنا».

He added: "This achievement is added to the numerous accomplishments that have been and will be achieved thanks to God and the great support that athletes receive from the leadership." He continued: "Thank God, what has been achieved is nothing but a great effort made by everyone." Al-Huwaidi praised the players and what they have presented throughout the qualifying journey, stating: "The players have shown great levels throughout the qualifying journey, culminating in this global qualification, and our ambition is high and will not stop at qualification. With God's will, the Green team will continue its journey in the finals and will appear in the best form, and we are all confident in our stars."
