Al-Khaleej triumphed over its host Al-Tai by five goals to none in the match held at Prince Abdulaziz bin Msa'ad bin Jalawi Stadium in Hail, as part of the Round of 32 of the King Abdulaziz Cup, allowing Al-Khaleej to advance to the Round of 16, while Al-Tai exited the competition.

The goals for Al-Khaleej were scored by Yorgos Masouras (1'), Murad Hawsawi (53'), Nawaf Al-Qumeiri (own goal 57'), and Paulo Fernandes (two goals 67', 79').

At the start of the match, Al-Khaleej pressed on its host Al-Tai, and the defense returned the ball to goalkeeper Ammar Al-Amar, who mishandled it, allowing Yorgos Masouras to seize it and score the first goal for Al-Khaleej (1'). Al-Tai nearly equalized with a header from Torles Noll, but his shot hit the crossbar. From a corner executed perfectly by Paulo Fernandes, Murad Hawsawi leapt and headed it into the net for Al-Khaleej's second goal (53'). Al-Tai continued to make fatal mistakes after a low cross from Hamad Al-Jizani into the penalty area, leading Nawaf Al-Qumeiri to mistakenly play the ball into his own net for Al-Khaleej's third goal (57'). Murad Hawsawi beautifully returned the favor to his teammate Paulo Fernandes by passing him the ball in front of goalkeeper Al-Amar, allowing Paulo to reach the ball, bypass the keeper, and score the fourth goal for Al-Khaleej (67'). Al-Tai almost responded with a precise shot from Abdulrahman Al-Harithi, but goalkeeper Anthony Morris deflected it for a corner. From a pass inside the penalty area, Aref Al-Haider played a short ball to Paulo Fernandes, who controlled it with his heel and shot it low into the net for his second personal goal and Al-Khaleej's fifth (79'), ending the match with Al-Khaleej winning five goals to none.

With this result, Al-Khaleej advanced to the Round of 16 with merit and deserving, while Al-Tai exited the tournament.
