انطلق الموسم الجديد من دوري روشن السعودي (2025-2026) مساء الخميس بإقامة ثلاث مواجهات مثيرة.
بدأت الجولة الافتتاحية بلقاء ضمك والحزم، حيث افتتح فابيو مارتينيز التسجيل لصالح الحزم، قبل أن يهدر عمر السومة فرصة تعزيز النتيجة بإضاعته ركلة جزاء في الدقيقة (90+7)، ليعاقب ضمك خصمه بهدف تعادل قاتل سجله جمال حركاس.
وفي اللقاء الثاني، واصل الأهلي سلسلة نتائجه الإيجابية بعد تتويجه بكأس السوبر، بتحقيق فوز صعب على نيوم الصاعد حديثاً، بهدف دون رد، حمل توقيع إيفان توني في الدقيقة 23.
أما المباراة الثالثة، فقد شهدت فوز الاتفاق على الخلود بهدفين مقابل هدف، سجل هدفي «فارس الدهناء» كل من موهاو نكوتا وجورجينيو فينالدوم، فيما جاء هدف الخلود الوحيد عبر جون باكلي.

- أهدر عمر السومة ركلة الجزاء رقم 11 له في دوري روشن، ليعادل الرقم القياسي كأكثر اللاعبين إهداراً لركلات الجزاء في تاريخ البطولة، بالمناصفة مع عبد الرزاق حمد الله (لاعب الشباب حالياً).
- نادي نيوم أصبح الفريق رقم 33 الذي يشارك في دوري روشن، ويُذكر أن الخلود كان آخر نادٍ صاعد يشارك لأول مرة ويتجنّب الهبوط، بينما نجحت آخر 3 فرق صعدت للمرة الأولى (الخلود، الأخدود، الرياض) في البقاء ضمن فرق الدوري.
- إيفان توني أصبح ثاني لاعب في تاريخ الأهلي يختتم أهداف الفريق في موسم، ويفتتحها في الموسم التالي، بعد محمد المجحد الذي فعلها في موسمي 2020–2021 و2021–2022.
- موهاو نكوتا، لاعب الاتفاق، دوّن اسمه كأول لاعب جنوب إفريقي يُسجل هدفاً في تاريخ مسابقة الدوري، لتصبح جنوب إفريقيا الدولة رقم 100 التي تسجل حضورها تهديفياً في البطولة.
The new season of the Roshen Saudi League (2025-2026) kicked off on Thursday evening with three exciting matches.
The opening round began with a match between Damak and Al-Hazm, where Fabio Martinez opened the scoring for Al-Hazm, before Omar Al-Soma missed a chance to extend the lead by missing a penalty in the (90+7) minute, allowing Damak to punish their opponent with a last-minute equalizer scored by Jamal Harqas.
In the second match, Al-Ahli continued their positive results after winning the Super Cup, achieving a tough victory over newly promoted Neom, with a score of one goal to none, signed by Ivan Toney in the 23rd minute.
The third match saw Al-Ettifaq defeat Al-Khulood with a score of two goals to one, with the goals for "Faris Al-Dahna" scored by Mohao Nkota and Georginio Wijnaldum, while Al-Khulood's only goal came from John Buckley.
Numbers and statistics (according to Opta Network):
- For the first time in its history, Al-Hazm scored the opening goal of the Professional League season, and this is only the second time that the season opener's goal has come from a penalty, after Moussa Al-Shammari with Al-Raed against Al-Shabab in the 2010–2011 season.
- Omar Al-Soma missed his 11th penalty in the Roshen League, equaling the record for the most penalties missed by a player in the history of the tournament, sharing the record with Abdul Razak Hamdallah (currently a player for Al-Shabab).
- Neom Club became the 33rd team to participate in the Roshen League, and it is worth mentioning that Al-Khulood was the last promoted club to participate for the first time and avoid relegation, while the last three teams that were promoted for the first time (Al-Khulood, Al-Akhudood, Riyadh) succeeded in remaining in the league.
- Ivan Toney became the second player in Al-Ahli's history to conclude the team's goals in one season and open them in the next season, after Mohammed Al-Majhad who did it in the 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 seasons.
- Mohao Nkota, a player for Al-Ettifaq, marked his name as the first South African player to score a goal in the history of the league competition, making South Africa the 100th country to register its scoring presence in the tournament.
