أصدر نادي ريال مدريد بيانًا رسميًا عبر فيه عن رفضه القاطع لإقامة مباراة برشلونة وفياريال ضمن مباريات الجولة السابعة عشرة من بطولة الدوري الإسباني الدرجة الأولى خارج الأراضي الإسبانية، معتبرًا أن هذا القرار ينتهك مبدأ التكافؤ الإقليمي في بطولات الدوري بنظام الذهاب والإياب، ويمنح أفضلية رياضية غير مستحقة للأندية التي تقدمت بالطلب.
وأوضح ريال مدريد في البيان بأن هذا الإجراء، الذي طُبّق دون سابق إنذار أو تشاور مع الأندية المشاركة في المسابقة، ينتهك مبدأ المعاملة بالمثل الإقليمي الأساسي الذي يحكم مسابقات الدوري ذات الدورين (مباراة على أرض الفريق المنافس وأخرى على أرضه)، مما يُغيّر التوازن التنافسي، ويمنح الأندية الطالبة ميزة رياضية غير مستحقة، مطالباً بتطبيق نزاهة المسابقة من خلال إقامة جميع المباريات في ظل ظروف متساوية لجميع الفرق، مشيراً إلى إن تعديل هذا النظام من جانب واحد ينتهك المساواة بين المتنافسين، ويُقوّض شرعية النتائج، ويُرسي سابقة غير مقبولة تفتح الباب أمام استثناءات تستند إلى مصالح غير رياضية بحتة، مما يؤثر بشكل واضح على النزاهة الرياضية.
وكشف ريال مدريد في بيانه بأنه اتخذ ثلاثة إجراءات تمثلت في تقديم طلب من الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا)، بصفته الضامن لقواعد كرة القدم الدولية، بعدم السماح بإقامة المباراة دون موافقة مسبقة من جميع الأندية المشاركة في المسابقة، وتقديم طلب للاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم (يويفا)، وحثّ الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم بسحب الطلب أو رفضه، مع إعادة تأكيد المعايير التي وُضعت عام 2018، والتي تحظر إقامة المباريات الرسمية في المسابقات المحلية خارج إسبانيا، إلا في ظروف استثنائية مبررة، وطلب من المجلس الأعلى للرياضة رفض منح التصريح الإداري اللازم دون موافقة جماعية من الأندية.

Real Madrid clarified in the statement that this action, which was implemented without prior notice or consultation with the clubs participating in the competition, violates the fundamental principle of regional reciprocity that governs two-legged league competitions (one match at the opponent's ground and another at home), thereby altering the competitive balance and granting the requesting clubs an undue sporting advantage. The club demanded the application of competition integrity by holding all matches under equal conditions for all teams, pointing out that unilaterally amending this system violates the equality among competitors, undermines the legitimacy of the results, and sets an unacceptable precedent that opens the door to exceptions based on purely non-sporting interests, which clearly affects sporting integrity.
Real Madrid revealed in its statement that it has taken three actions, which included submitting a request to the International Football Federation (FIFA), as the guarantor of international football rules, not to allow the match to be held without prior approval from all clubs participating in the competition, submitting a request to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), and urging the Spanish Football Federation to withdraw or reject the request, while reaffirming the standards established in 2018, which prohibit the holding of official matches in domestic competitions outside Spain, except in justified exceptional circumstances, and requesting the Higher Sports Council to refuse to grant the necessary administrative permit without collective approval from the clubs.
