بعد صعود المنتخب السعودي للناشئين لكرة اليد إلى دور الـ16 من منافسات بطولة العالم تحت 19 عاماً، المقامة حالياً في جمهورية مصر العربية، يواجه الأخضر منتخب إسبانيا غداً (الاثنين) عند الساعة 5:15 مساءً بتوقيت السعودية، فيما يلتقي في المباراة الثانية منتخب صربيا بعد غد (الثلاثاء) 12 أغسطس عند الساعة 7:30 مساءً بتوقيت السعودية.
وتأتي هذه المباريات في إطار سعي المنتخب السعودي لتحقيق نتائج إيجابية ومواصلة مشواره في البطولة، وسط منافسة قوية من نخبة المنتخبات العالمية.
من جانبه، رفع رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة اليد حسن بن نصر هلال أسمى آيات الشكر والعرفان لوزير الرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل، ونائبه الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد، على دعمهما المستمر ومتابعتهما الدقيقة لمسيرة المنتخبات الوطنية، مؤكداً أن هذا التأهل والظهور المشرف ثمرة لاهتمام القيادة الرياضية وحرصها على تهيئة كافة مقومات النجاح للرياضة السعودية، ومواءمة الخطط الاستراتيجية الخاصة باللجنة الأولمبية مع خطط الاتحاد، التي تهدف إلى صناعة فريق بطل مستقبلاً، وتقديم مستويات مميزة في أقوى بطولات العالم.

After the Saudi national youth handball team advanced to the Round of 16 in the World Championship under 19, currently taking place in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Green team will face Spain tomorrow (Monday) at 5:15 PM Saudi time, while in the second match, they will meet Serbia the day after tomorrow (Tuesday) August 12 at 7:30 PM Saudi time.
