استهل المنتخب السعودي الأول لكرة قدم الصالات مشواره في بطولة القارات الدولية الودية لكرة قدم الصالات (2025)، بالفوز على نظيره منتخب أستراليا بنتيجة (3 - 1)، في اللقاء الذي جمعهما على صالة محافظة نونتابوري، ضمن منافسات الجولة الأولى من المجموعة الثانية.
وسجّل أهداف الأخضر اللاعب عبدالله العقيلي (هدفين)، واللاعب فهد الرديني، في مباراة قدم خلالها اللاعبون أداءً مميزًا، واعتمد المدير الفني الإسباني أندريو بلازا على خطة متوازنة جمعت بين الضغط المبكر والتنظيم الدفاعي، مع استغلال فعال للمساحات الهجومية.
ويخوض المنتخب السعودي غدًا مباراته الثانية في دور المجموعات أمام نظيره منتخب زامبيا، سعيًا لتحقيق انتصاره الثاني وتعزيز صدارته للمجموعة.
وتأتي مشاركة الأخضر في البطولة ضمن البرنامج الفني الإعدادي، تحضيرًا لتصفيات كأس آسيا لكرة قدم الصالات (2026)، التي تستضيفها المملكة في مدينة الدمام خلال الفترة من (20) إلى (24) سبتمبر القادم.

The Saudi national futsal team began its journey in the International Friendly Futsal Continental Championship (2025) with a victory over its counterpart, the Australian team, with a score of (3 - 1), in the match held at the Nontaburi Provincial Hall, as part of the first round of Group B.
The goals for the Green team were scored by player Abdullah Al-Aqeeli (two goals) and player Fahd Al-Ridini, in a match where the players delivered an outstanding performance. The Spanish head coach, Andreu Plaza, relied on a balanced strategy that combined early pressure and defensive organization, while effectively exploiting attacking spaces.
The Saudi team will play its second match in the group stage tomorrow against the Zambian team, seeking to achieve its second victory and strengthen its lead in the group.
The Green team's participation in the tournament is part of the technical preparation program in preparation for the Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers (2026), which will be hosted by the Kingdom in the city of Dammam from September 20 to 24.
