عبّر سالم الدوسري، قائد فريق الهلال، عن سعادته بتحقيق الفوز على باتشوكا المكسيكي بنتيجة 2-0، في ختام منافسات دور المجموعات من بطولة كأس العالم للأندية 2025.
وبهذا الانتصار، أنهى الهلال مشواره في المجموعة الثامنة في المركز الثاني برصيد 5 نقاط، ليضرب موعدًا مرتقبًا أمام مانشستر سيتي الإنجليزي في الدور ثمن النهائي، فجر الثلاثاء القادم.
وقال الدوسري في تصريحات عقب المباراة: «الحمد لله، نحن هنا لمنافسة أقوى فرق العالم، جئنا لنشرّف الكرة السعودية ونؤكد للعالم أن كرتنا لا تزال قوية، كنا نطمح للتأهل إلى دور الـ16، وقد تحقق الهدف، والآن تركيزنا يتجه إلى مواجهة مانشستر سيتي».
وحول إصابته، أوضح: «إصابتي ليست مقلقة، أستطيع الضغط على نفسي قليلًا من أجل المشاركة، لكن الأهم هو تحقيق الفوز، اليوم نحتفل، ومن الغد نبدأ الاستعداد للمواجهة القادمة».
وأضاف قائد الهلال: «المنظومة في النادي لا تتأثر برحيل مدرب أو لاعب، وهذا سر قوتنا».
وجاء هدفا الهلال أمام باتشوكا المكسيكي بتوقيع سالم الدوسري في الدقيقة 22، وماركوس ليوناردو في الدقيقة 90+5.
وسجل الدوسري هدفه الخامس في النسخة الحالية من البطولة، ليصبح الهداف العربي التاريخي في كأس العالم للأندية، متفوقًا على المصريين محمد أبو تريكة وحسين الشحات (4 أهداف لكل منهما)، ومعادلًا رقم النجم الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي في عدد الأهداف المسجلة عبر نسخ متعددة من البطولة.
Salem Al-Dosari, the captain of Al-Hilal, expressed his happiness at achieving victory over Pachuca from Mexico with a score of 2-0, in the final match of the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
With this victory, Al-Hilal finished their journey in Group H in second place with 5 points, setting up an anticipated match against English club Manchester City in the Round of 16, early next Tuesday.
Al-Dosari said in statements after the match: "Thank God, we are here to compete with the strongest teams in the world. We came to honor Saudi football and confirm to the world that our football is still strong. We aimed to qualify for the Round of 16, and the goal has been achieved. Now our focus is on facing Manchester City."
Regarding his injury, he clarified: "My injury is not concerning. I can push myself a little to participate, but the most important thing is achieving victory. Today we celebrate, and starting tomorrow we begin preparations for the next match."
The Al-Hilal captain added: "The system at the club is not affected by the departure of a coach or a player, and this is the secret of our strength."
Al-Hilal's two goals against Pachuca came from Salem Al-Dosari in the 22nd minute and Marcos Leonardo in the 90+5 minute.
Al-Dosari scored his fifth goal in the current edition of the tournament, becoming the historic Arab top scorer in the FIFA Club World Cup, surpassing Egyptians Mohamed Aboutrika and Hussein El Shahat (4 goals each), and matching the record of Argentine star Lionel Messi for the number of goals scored across multiple editions of the tournament.
