The president of Al-Hilal Club, Fahd bin Nafel, confirmed after his team's qualification to the Round of 16, with a victory over Pachuca from Mexico with two goals to none, at "Geodis Park," during the third and final round of the group stage held in the United States, that this achievement came thanks to God and then the support of the wise leadership, and the continuous support from the management and the team by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. He added, "We will do everything we can to continue to honor this nation in the best way possible, as we are among the top 16 clubs in the world, and this is a great achievement, being the only Arab and Asian club to qualify for this stage." Regarding the stalled negotiations with some players before the start of the 2025 Club World Cup, he said, "We will never accept blackmail, and I believe that the players we negotiated with before the World Cup regretted it after seeing the team and its honorable journey in this tournament." About his candidacy for the presidency of Al-Hilal next season, he responded, "Every incident has its own discussion, and now our focus is on the 2025 Club World Cup," revealing the reason for not accompanying the delegation since day one, saying, "Not obtaining my visa delayed my arrival in America." He concluded his remarks by saying
