The head coach of the Mexican team Pachuca, Jaime Lozano, confirmed that facing Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal in the last round of the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup represents a special challenge for his team, noting that Al-Hilal is, in his view, the best team in the group.
Lozano said at the press conference: "We are here to gain experience from this important tournament, and everything we have learned during the past matches will be beneficial for our players in the future. We feel some frustration because we created more chances than our opponents in the last two matches, but we were not successful in scoring."
He added: "Al-Hilal is a strong and organized team, both in attack and defense. They have outstanding players like Cancelo, Malcolm, Neves, and Bono, and I see that the work of coach Simone Inzaghi is very clear, especially in the defensive aspect, which I really like."
The Mexican coach confirmed that the name of the opposing team does not change their ambitions, saying: "It doesn't matter if the opponent is Al-Hilal or Real Madrid; we are only looking for victory, and we want to leave this tournament with a moral victory."
He pointed out that the short preparation period for the tournament posed a challenge, adding: "This is the FIFA World Cup, where we face the elite clubs globally, and 10 or 15 days is not enough for ideal preparation, but we will do everything we can to achieve a positive result."
For his part, the team's Moroccan professional Osama Idrissi confirmed that his team is well aware of the difficulty of the match, saying: "Al-Hilal is a strong team with high capabilities, and they performed at a high level against Real Madrid and earned a deserved point. We are determined to give our best in tomorrow's match."
