قررت اللجنة العامة لانتخابات الأندية الرياضية مساء اليوم استبعاد القائمة المرشحة لرئاسة نادي الخليج، بعد استبعاد مرشح الرئاسة المهندس أحمد خريدة استناداً إلى المادة (٢٧/١/ز) من اللائحة الأساسية.
ورغم قبول اللجنة بقية أعضاء مجلس الإدارة المكوّن من ثمانية مرشحين آخرين، أدى استبعاد الرئيس إلى إقصاء القائمة بالكامل وفق نظام الانتخابات.
ويُعد خريدة المرشح الوحيد لخلافة الرئيس السابق علاء الهمل، وهو عضو مجلس إدارة سابق بالنادي وعضو حالي في اتحاد كرة اليد منذ أكثر من أربع سنوات، ويحظى بشعبية واسعة في سيهات.
من جانبه، أعلن خريدة عزمه تقديم طعن على القرار، على أن تصدر النتائج النهائية منتصف الأسبوع القادم. وفي حال قبول الطعن سيتم تزكيته رئيساً، أما إذا رُفض فسيُعاد فتح باب الترشح من جديد.

The General Committee for Sports Club Elections decided this evening to disqualify the candidate list for the presidency of Al-Khaleej Club, following the disqualification of the presidential candidate, Engineer Ahmed Khuraida, based on Article (27/1/z) of the basic regulations.
Although the committee accepted the remaining members of the board of directors, which consists of eight other candidates, the disqualification of the president led to the complete exclusion of the list according to the election system.
Khuraida is considered the only candidate to succeed the former president, Alaa Al-Hamal, and he is a former board member of the club and a current member of the Handball Federation for over four years, enjoying wide popularity in Saihat.
For his part, Khuraida announced his intention to appeal the decision, with final results expected to be announced by the middle of next week. If the appeal is accepted, he will be appointed as president; otherwise, the nomination process will be reopened.
