شهدت المنافسات المحلية للفئات السنية على مستوى الشباب والناشئين تطورًا لافتًا في الموسم الرياضي الماضي 2024-2025 بعد زيادة عدد المباريات في الدوريات المحلية بمختلف درجاتها «الممتاز - الدرجة الأولى - الدرجة الثانية».
واستهدف الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم زيادة عدد المباريات للفئات السنية لضمان مشاركة اللاعبين في أكبر عدد ممكن من المباريات، وذلك ضمن إستراتيجيته لصقل مهارات وخبرات اللاعبين وإعداد جيل جديد قادر على تمثيل المنتخبات الوطنية إقليميًا وقاريًا وعالميًا.
وأثمرت جهود الاتحاد السعودي في هذا الصدد عن إنجازات ملموسة لمنتخبات الفئات السنية، حيث تمكن المنتخب الوطني تحت 20 عامًا من التأهل إلى نهائيات كأس العالم 2025 بعد إنجازه الآسيوي بالتأهل إلى النهائي القاري، وعلى خطاه سار المنتخب الوطني تحت 17 عامًا الذي تأهل إلى نهائي آسيا ومنه إلى نهائيات كأس العالم للناشئين «قطر 2025» لأول مرة منذ عام 1989.
وتعد هذه المرة الأولى في تاريخ الكرة السعودية التي يتأهل فيها منتخبا الشباب والناشئين في نفس العام إلى نهائيات كأس العالم لفئة كل منهما، الأمر الذي يؤكد نجاح إستراتيجية الاتحاد السعودي التي تسير على الطريق الصحيح نحو مستقبل مشرق للكرة السعودية.
وتعكس العديد من الأرقام حجم التطور الذي شهدته مسابقات الفئات السنية خلال موسم 2024-2025، حيث شهدت أغلب الدوريات لفئات الشباب والناشئين مشاركة 18 فريقًا، لتقام في كل مسابقة 306 مباريات في المتوسط، فيما تراوح عدد الأهداف المسجلة في كل مسابقة من 878-1023 هدفًا.
وجاء عدد المباريات في كل مسابقة ليمنح الفرصة للكثير من اللاعبين للمشاركة، حيث شهد الدوري الممتاز تحت 18 عامًا مشاركة 724 لاعبًا، بينما شهد الدوري الممتاز تحت 17 عامًا مشاركة 785 لاعبًا، في حين شهد الدوري الممتاز تحت 16 عامًا مشاركة 631 لاعبًا، وشارك في الدوري الممتاز تحت 15 عامًا 632 لاعبًا.
وساهم العدد الكبير من المباريات في مسابقات الفئات السنية في اكتشاف العديد من المواهب «الهدافين»، والذين اكتسبوا الخبرات وتم صقل مهاراتهم مع كثرة الاحتكاك، إذ سجل لاعب المنتخب الوطني تحت 17 عامًا عبدالرحمن سفياني رقمًا قياسيًا على مستوى الأهداف في الدوري الممتاز تحت 17 عامًا، بتسجيله 45 هدفًا مع فريقه أكاديمية مهد، وتوج لاعب الأهلي عدنان البشري هدافًا للدوري الممتاز تحت 18 عامًا برصيد 26 هدفًا، فيما حصد يوسف السالم لاعب التعاون لقب هداف الدوري الممتاز تحت 16 عامًا برصيد 28 هدفًا، في حين جاء فارس بوشقراء لاعب الفتح هدافًا للدوري الممتاز تحت 15 عامًا برصيد 37 هدفًا.
وتبشر هذه الإحصائيات وغيرها في مسابقات الفئات السنية، بمستقبل أفضل لمواهب كرة القدم السعودية، لاسيما في ظل الاستحقاقات القارية والدولية التي تنتظر المنتخبات الوطنية خلال الفترة القادمة، والتي ستكون خير إعداد لجيل جديد من اللاعبين سيقود الكرة السعودية في المستقبل.
The local competitions for youth and junior categories witnessed remarkable development in the past sports season 2024-2025 after the increase in the number of matches in local leagues of various levels ("Premier - First Division - Second Division").
The Saudi Football Federation aimed to increase the number of matches for youth categories to ensure that players participate in as many matches as possible, as part of its strategy to hone the skills and experiences of players and prepare a new generation capable of representing national teams regionally, continentally, and globally.
The efforts of the Saudi Federation in this regard resulted in tangible achievements for the youth national teams, as the under-20 national team qualified for the 2025 World Cup after its Asian achievement of reaching the continental final. Following in its footsteps, the under-17 national team also qualified for the Asian final and then for the World Cup for juniors ("Qatar 2025") for the first time since 1989.
This is the first time in the history of Saudi football that both the youth and junior teams have qualified in the same year for their respective World Cup finals, which confirms the success of the Saudi Federation's strategy that is on the right path towards a bright future for Saudi football.
Many figures reflect the extent of the development witnessed in youth competitions during the 2024-2025 season, as most youth and junior leagues saw the participation of 18 teams, with an average of 306 matches held in each competition, while the number of goals scored in each competition ranged from 878 to 1023 goals.
The number of matches in each competition provided many players the opportunity to participate, as the Premier League under-18 saw the participation of 724 players, while the Premier League under-17 had 785 players, and the Premier League under-16 had 631 players, with 632 players participating in the Premier League under-15.
The large number of matches in youth competitions contributed to discovering many talents ("goal scorers"), who gained experience and honed their skills through frequent competition. The under-17 national team player Abdulrahman Sufiani set a record for the number of goals in the Premier League under-17, scoring 45 goals with his team, Mahd Academy. Al-Ahli player Adnan Al-Bushari was crowned the top scorer of the Premier League under-18 with 26 goals, while Yusuf Al-Salem from Al-Taawoun won the title of top scorer in the Premier League under-16 with 28 goals, and Fares Bouchekra from Al-Fateh was the top scorer in the Premier League under-15 with 37 goals.
These statistics and others in youth competitions promise a better future for Saudi football talents, especially in light of the continental and international challenges that await the national teams in the coming period, which will be an excellent preparation for a new generation of players who will lead Saudi football in the future.
