تقرر أن يجري حارس الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي الاتحاد بريندراغ رايكوفيتش عملية جراحية الثلاثاء القادم في مدينة توركو في فنلندا، تحت إشراف الطبيب البروفيسور لاسي لمباينين المتخصص في جراحات العضلات والأوتار.
وقال الاتحاد عبر بيان رسمي إن اللاعب كان قد تعرض لإصابة في مباراة دور نصف نهائي كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين أمام الشباب، وبعد تواصل الجهاز الطبي في الفريق مع عدد من الخبراء المختصين في هذا النوع من الإصابات، تقررت معالجة الإصابة تحفظياً ومتابعة تطورها أولاً وتأجيل موعد إجراء العملية الجراحية إلى نهاية الموسم، وقد نجحت هذه الخطة العلاجية في تجهيز اللاعب للمشاركة وبفعالية في عدد من المباريات الحاسمة في دوري روشن أمام النصر والفيحاء، وفي نهائي كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين أمام القادسية.
وسيتم تحديد نوعية ومدة البرنامج العلاجي ما بعد الجراحة بالتنسيق بين الطبيب الجراح والجهاز الطبي بالنادي.

It has been decided that the first team goalkeeper of Al-Ittihad Club, Brindrag Raikovic, will undergo surgery next Tuesday in the city of Turku, Finland, under the supervision of Professor Lassi Lempainen, a specialist in muscle and tendon surgeries.
Al-Ittihad stated in an official announcement that the player had sustained an injury during the semi-final match of the King’s Cup against Al-Shabab. After the medical staff of the team consulted with several experts specialized in this type of injury, it was decided to treat the injury conservatively and monitor its development first, postponing the surgery until the end of the season. This treatment plan successfully prepared the player to participate effectively in several crucial matches in the Roshen League against Al-Nassr and Al-Faiha, as well as in the final of the King’s Cup against Al-Qadisiyah.
The type and duration of the post-surgery treatment program will be determined in coordination between the surgeon and the club's medical staff.
