أعرب الملاكم المكسيكي كانيلو ألفاريز عن سعادته بالعودة إلى المملكة العربية السعودية للمشاركة في نزال جديد، مؤكداً أن وجوده في المملكة ليس الأول، إذ سبق له زيارتها مراتٍ عدةٍ، فيما تُعد هذه مشاركته الثانية في منافسات الملاكمة على أرضها.
وقال كانيلو ألفاريز في تصريحٍ خاصٍ لـ«عكاظ»: «أحب الوجود في السعودية، وهذه المرة الثانية التي أخوض فيها نزالاً هنا، لكنني زرت المملكة مراتٍ عديدةٍ، وأنا سعيدٌ جداً بالعودة إليها».
وعن طموحاته في نزاله المرتقب، بعد تحقيقه الفوز في مشاركته السابقة بالسعودية، أكد الملاكم المكسيكي عزمه على تقديم أفضل ما لديه، قائلاً: «سأبذل قصارى جهدي داخل الحلبة، وسأسعى إلى إسقاط خصمي بالضربة القاضية».
واختتم ألفاريز حديثه بالتأكيد على استعداده لتقديم أفضل أداءٍ ممكنٍ في المواجهة القادمة، سعياً إلى مواصلة انتصاراته على الحلبات السعودية.

Regarding his ambitions for the upcoming match, after achieving victory in his previous participation in Saudi Arabia, the Mexican boxer confirmed his determination to give his best, saying: "I will do my utmost in the ring, and I will strive to knock out my opponent."
Alvarez concluded his remarks by emphasizing his readiness to deliver the best possible performance in the upcoming bout, seeking to continue his victories in Saudi rings.
