وكان فينيسيوس قد تعرض للطرد في مباراة فياريال الأخيرة في الدوري الإسباني، بسبب شده شعر لاعب فياريال ساليبا، إلى جانب احتجاجه على الحكم بشكل غير لائق، لتقرر لجنة الانضباط بالاتحاد الإسباني معاقبته بالإيقاف 4 مباريات، بواقع مباراتين بسبب واقعة شد الشعر، ومباراتين بسبب احتجاجاته على الحكم.
تأييد العقوبة
وبحسب صحيفة «آس» الإسبانية، رفضت لجنة الاستئناف طعن ريال مدريد، الذي سعى إلى إلغاء العقوبة أو تخفيفها على الأقل، وأيدت قرار إيقاف اللاعب 4 مباريات.
وبذلك، سيغيب فينيسيوس جونيور عن مباريات إشبيلية وبرشلونة وراسينغ سانتاندير وفالنسيا، على أن يعود إلى المشاركة في الليغا بعد فترة التوقف الدولي، خلال مواجهة سيلتا فيغو المقررة يوم 22 نوفمبر القادم.

Upholding the Penalty
According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," the Appeals Committee rejected Real Madrid's appeal, which sought to annul the penalty or at least reduce it, and upheld the decision to suspend the player for 4 matches.
As a result, Vinícius Júnior will miss matches against Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing Santander, and Valencia, and he is expected to return to participate in La Liga after the international break, during the match against Celta Vigo scheduled for November 22.
