أعلن نادي بوروسيا دورتموند الألماني، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تمديد عقد مدرب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم نيكو كوفاتش.
عقد حتى 2029
وقال النادي في بيان عبر موقعه الرسمي: «يواصل بوروسيا دورتموند ومدربه نيكو كوفاتش شراكتهما الناجحة، إذ وقّع المدرب البالغ من العمر 54 عاماً عقداً جديداً مع بطل ألمانيا ثماني مرات، يمتد حتى 30 يونيو 2029».
كوفاتش: نريد البناء على ما حققناه
من جانبه، قال كوفاتش عقب تمديد عقده: «لقد وضعنا معاً مساراً واضحاً للتطوير، وأرسينا أسساً متينة للمستقبل، ونريد البناء على ذلك، لدينا رؤية واضحة لكيفية لعب كرة القدم، وكيفية أدائنا كفريق، وما يتطلبه الأمر لتحقيق أهدافنا».
وأضاف: «يكمن السر في أننا لا نكتفي بما حققناه، بل نعمل يومياً على التحسن. نرى إمكانات هائلة، ونحن على يقين بأننا، معاً، وبكل ثقة وعزيمة، ما زلنا قادرين على تحقيق الكثير».
أرقام كوفاتش
وتولى كوفاتش قيادة بوروسيا دورتموند في ربيع عام 2025، عندما كان الفريق يحتل المركز الحادي عشر في جدول الترتيب، ونجح في قيادته للتأهل إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا في الجولة الأخيرة من موسم 2024-2025.
وفي الموسم الماضي، قاد كوفاتش دورتموند إلى المركز الثاني، محققاً 73 نقطة، وهو خامس أعلى رصيد نقاط في تاريخ النادي.
وخاض كوفاتش 53 مباراة على مقاعد بدلاء بوروسيا دورتموند في الدوري الألماني حتى الآن، حصد خلالها فريقه 114 نقطة، بمعدل 2.15 نقطة في المباراة الواحدة، وهو أعلى معدل نقاط يحققه أي مدرب للفريق.
The German club Borussia Dortmund announced today (Tuesday) the extension of the contract of the first team football coach Niko Kovac.
Contract until 2029
The club stated in a statement on its official website: "Borussia Dortmund and coach Niko Kovac continue their successful partnership, as the 54-year-old coach has signed a new contract with the eight-time German champions, extending until June 30, 2029."
Kovac: We want to build on what we have achieved
For his part, Kovac said after the extension of his contract: "We have together set a clear path for development, and we have laid solid foundations for the future, and we want to build on that. We have a clear vision of how to play football, how to perform as a team, and what it takes to achieve our goals."
He added: "The secret lies in the fact that we do not settle for what we have achieved, but we work daily to improve. We see enormous potential, and we are confident that together, with full confidence and determination, we are still capable of achieving a lot."
Kovac's Numbers
Kovac took charge of Borussia Dortmund in the spring of 2025 when the team was in eleventh place in the standings, and he successfully led them to qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the final round of the 2024-2025 season.
Last season, Kovac led Dortmund to second place, achieving 73 points, which is the fifth highest points total in the club's history.
Kovac has managed 53 matches on the Borussia Dortmund bench in the Bundesliga so far, during which his team has collected 114 points, with an average of 2.15 points per match, which is the highest points average achieved by any coach of the team.
