وستُقام مباراة الذهاب على ملعب محايد في مدينة ديبريتسين بالمجر، فيما نقل الاتحاد الأيرلندي مباراة الإياب، المقرر لها الرابع من أكتوبر القادم، إلى صربيا، حيث ستُقام دون حضور جماهيري.
موقف فردي قد يتحول لجماعي
وبحسب ما نقلته شبكة «فوت ميركاتو» الفرنسية، فقد أبلغ الحارس الاحتياطي غافين بازونو الاتحاد الأيرلندي لكرة القدم برفضه اللعب ضد إسرائيل، ويُعد هذا موقفاً قوياً يُقال إن لاعبين آخرين يفكرون في اتباعه.
«يويفا» يراقب التطورات
وأضافت أن الاتحاد الأيرلندي اضطر إلى تأجيل المؤتمر الصحفي وجلسة التدريب، كما يتابع الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم «يويفا» الوضع عن كثب، ومن المتوقع الآن صدور بيان مشترك من اللاعبين الأيرلنديين لتوضيح موقفهم.
مدرب أيرلندا يهاجم إسرائيل
وفي مطلع الأسبوع الماضي، قال مدرب أيرلندا هيمير هالجريمسون: «نحن لا نلعب مع الإبادة الجماعية، بل نلعب ضد الإبادة الجماعية»، ليرد الاتحاد الإسرائيلي يوم الاثنين بعبارة: «نحن لا نلعب مع الجهل والنفاق والغباء، بل نلعب ضد المدرب الذي يجسد هذه الصفات».
