واصل الاتحاد انطلاقته القوية في دوري روشن السعودي، بعدما عاد بانتصار ثمين من أمام مضيفه الفيصلي بنتيجة 3-1، في المباراة التي جمعتهما مساء الجمعة ضمن منافسات الجولة السابعة.
وحسم الاتحاد المواجهة بفضل تألق مهاجمه المغربي يوسف النصيري، الذي سجل هدفين، فيما افتتح الهولندي ستيفن التسجيل، ليؤكد الفريق الاتحادي حضوره القوي في سباق الصدارة.
وافتتح ستيفن التسجيل في الدقيقة 28، مستفيدًا من تمريرة الكولومبي ريتشارد ريوس، قبل أن يضاعف النصيري النتيجة قبل نهاية الشوط الأول بثلاث دقائق، بعد صناعة من النيجيري جورج إيلينيكينا.
وعاد النصيري في الدقيقة 59 ليوقع على هدفه الشخصي الثاني والثالث للاتحاد، مستفيدًا مجددًا من تمريرة إيلينيكينا، ليمنح فريقه أفضلية مريحة.
وقلص الفيصلي الفارق في الدقيقة 87 عن طريق الكونغولي ثيو بونجوندا، إلا أن هدفه لم يغير من مسار المباراة، ليحافظ الاتحاد على تقدمه حتى صافرة النهاية.
ورفع الاتحاد رصيده إلى 17 نقطة، ليتصدر جدول ترتيب دوري روشن مؤقتًا، كما حافظ على سجله خاليًا من الهزائم، ليصبح إلى جانب الخلود الفريقين الوحيدين اللذين لم يتذوقا الخسارة هذا الموسم، فيما تجمد رصيد الفيصلي عند 3 نقاط في المركز قبل الأخير.
The Union continued its strong start in the Roshen Saudi League, returning with a valuable victory against its host Al-Faisaly with a score of 3-1, in the match that took place on Friday evening as part of the seventh round of competition.
The Union secured the match thanks to the brilliance of its Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, who scored two goals, while Dutch player Steven opened the scoring, confirming the Union's strong presence in the race for the top spot.
Steven opened the scoring in the 28th minute, benefiting from a pass from Colombian Richard Rios, before En-Nesyri doubled the score three minutes before the end of the first half, after an assist from Nigerian George Elinika.
En-Nesyri returned in the 59th minute to score his second personal goal and the third for the Union, again benefiting from a pass from Elinika, giving his team a comfortable advantage.
Al-Faisaly reduced the deficit in the 87th minute through Congolese Theo Bongonda, but his goal did not change the course of the match, as the Union maintained its lead until the final whistle.
The Union raised its tally to 17 points, temporarily topping the Roshen League standings, while also keeping its record free of defeats, becoming, alongside Al-Khulood, the only two teams that have not tasted defeat this season, while Al-Faisaly's points remained at 3, placing them second to last.
