بعبارة «الحمد لله على كل شيء» علّق الفرنسي كريم بنزيما عبر حسابه الرسمي في موقع التواصل الاجتماعي «X»، بعد تأديته مناسك العمرة في أحدث ظهور له، عقب فسخ عقده مع نادي الهلال وحصوله على مستحقاته كافة خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية التي أغلقت.
ويفكر بنزيما في اعتزال اللعب وهو يبلغ من العمر 38 عامًا، رغم إمكانية الانتقال إلى صفوف نادي ليون الفرنسي الذي رحل عنه في موسم 2009 صوب ريال مدريد.
وانضم بنزيما إلى صفوف الهلال في يناير 2026 قادمًا من اتحاد جدة في صفقة انتقال حر، لكن «الزعيم» تعاقد مع المهاجم الإنجليزي أولي واتكينز وهو ما أجبره على التخلي عن بنزيما في الميركاتو الحالي.
وشارك بنزيما في 16 مباراة مع «الزعيم»، سجل خلالها 10 أهداف وصنع 5 أخرى، وتُوج معه ببطولة وحيدة هي كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين في الموسم الماضي على حساب الخلود.
