وتقدم روما في الدقيقة الرابعة عن طريق دونيل مالين، ثم أضاف اللاعب نفسه الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة 23، وفي الدقيقة 25 سجل ماتياس سولي الهدف الثالث، ثم أضاف رودريغو مورا الهدف الرابع في الدقيقة 65.
وكان روما قد استهل مشواره بالفوز بالنتيجة نفسها على ضيفه فيورنتينا في الجولة الأولى، ليرفع رصيده إلى ست نقاط ويتصدر الترتيب بفارق الأهداف عن حامل اللقب إنتر ميلان.
على الجانب الآخر، تلقى ليتشي خسارته الأولى هذا الموسم، بعدما كان قد استهل الموسم بالفوز على مضيفه فينزيا 2/صفر، ليحتل المركز الـ13 في الترتيب.
