ولم يكشف الاتحاد الإنجليزي في بيانه أسباب العقوبة بشكل تفصيلي، لكن القرار يأتي في إطار مخالفات إدارية ومالية تم رصدها خلال الفترة الماضية.
ويعني الإيقاف مع وقف التنفيذ أن تشيلسي لن يُمنع من إبرام الصفقات حالياً، لكن أي مخالفة جديدة خلال فترة الاختبار ستُفعّل العقوبة فوراً.
