ينفرد المدافع المصري محمد هاني بصدارة قائمة اللاعبين المسجلين أهدافاً عكسية في مرماهم، بعد أن أحرز الهدف الثاني له خلال مونديال 2026، إذ كان الأول أمام بلجيكا، والثاني ضد أستراليا.
وبذلك حطم كأس العالم 2026 الرقم القياسي لأكبر عدد من الأهداف العكسية المسجلة في نسخة واحدة من المونديال، وارتفعت الحصيلة الإجمالية إلى 14 هدفاً حتى الآن.
واكتمل هذا الرقم التاريخي بعدما سجل محمد هاني هدفاً في مرماه خلال مواجهة أستراليا بدور الـ32، قبل أن يتبعه دينسي بورجيس مدافع الرأس الأخضر بتسجيل هدف آخر بالخطأ في مرماه خلال لقاء الأرجنتين.
وبذلك تخطت النسخة الحالية الرقم القياسي السابق المسجل في مونديال روسيا 2018، الذي شهد تسجيل 12 هدفاً عكسياً.
وتضم قائمة اللاعبين الذين سجلوا بالخطأ في مرماهم خلال مرحلة المجموعات أسماءً عدة من بينهم ثنائي قطر محمد العبيدلي ومحمود بو ندى، والمغربي ياسين بونو، والتونسي إلياس السخيري، وحسان تمبكتي، والعراقي أيمن حسين، والأردني يزن العرب، إلى جانب تيبوهو موكوينا لاعب جنوب أفريقيا، وداميان بوباديللا لاعب باراغواي، وكاميرون بورجيس لاعب أستراليا، وعبد الواحد نيماتوف لاعب أوزبكستان.
ويرجع هذا الارتفاع القياسي في عدد الأهداف العكسية بشكل مباشر إلى زيادة عدد مباريات البطولة التي قفزت من 64 إلى 104 مباريات في النسخة الحالية، وتحطم الرقم في المباراة رقم 86، ما يعني أن معدل الأهداف العكسية في نسخة 2018 لا يزال أكبر نسبياً، مع العلم بأن حصيلة الأهداف العكسية في مونديال 2026 مرشحة للزيادة مع تبقّي 16 مباراة في البطولة حتى اللقاء النهائي يوم 19 يوليو الجاري.

This has shattered the 2026 World Cup record for the most own goals scored in a single edition of the tournament, bringing the total to 14 goals so far.
This historic number was completed after Mohamed Hani scored an own goal during the match against Australia in the Round of 32, followed by Denis Borges, a defender from Cape Verde, who scored another own goal during the match against Argentina.
Thus, the current edition has surpassed the previous record set in the 2018 World Cup, which saw 12 own goals scored.
The list of players who scored own goals during the group stage includes several names, among them the Qatari duo Mohamed Al-Abeidli and Mahmoud Bou Nda, Moroccan Yassine Bounou, Tunisian Elyes Skhiri, Hassan Tambakti, Iraqi Ayman Hussein, Jordanian Yazan Al-Arab, along with Thibaut Mokoena from South Africa, Damian Bobadilla from Paraguay, Cameron Borges from Australia, and Abduwahid Nematov from Uzbekistan.
This record increase in the number of own goals is directly attributed to the rise in the number of matches in the tournament, which jumped from 64 to 104 matches in the current edition, with the record being broken in match number 86. This means that the rate of own goals in the 2018 edition is still relatively higher, knowing that the total number of own goals in the 2026 World Cup is likely to increase with 16 matches remaining in the tournament until the final match on July 19.
