بعدما هبط الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي ضمك إلى دوري أندية يلو بعد الخسارة القاسية التي تعرض لها الفريق من النصر بنتيجة أربعة أهداف مقابل هدف في المباراة التي جمعت الفريقين على ملعب الأول بارك ضمن الجولة الأخيرة في دوري روشن السعودي 2025-2026، وانتصار الرياض على الأخدود بهدف مقابل لاشيء ووصوله للنقطة 30، وضمان البقاء في الموسم القادم، إذ أشعل هبوط الفريق منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، والتي تم خلالها تبادل التهم وتحميل إدارة النادي هذا التراجع والفني الذي تسبب في هبوط الفريق، حيث عبر رئيس نادي ضمك سابقاً صالح أبو نخاع، عبر حسابه الرسمي في منصات التواصل الاجتماعي «X» عن استيائه لهذا الهبوط، وقال: «أنطفأت أنوار عسير، وباتت محافظة خميس مشيط، حزينة». وأضاف: «حزين على ضمك الذي هبط، ومبروك للمنصات، عودة النصر الذي فاز بالدوري لأنه الأحق والأجدر».
