في واقعة مأساوية هزت أوساط الرياضة والرأي العام في قرغيزستان، لقي المقاتل في رياضة الفنون القتالية المختلطة MMA ميديت جينالييف، مصرعه غرقاً أثناء محاولته إنقاذ أطفال من الغرق في بحيرة إيسيك كول الشهيرة.
وقعت الحادثة يوم الأربعاء في منطقة قرية باكتو دولونوتو بمحافظة إيسيك كول، حيث كان ميديت (30 عاماً) يقضي إجازة مع أصدقائه عندما شاهد فتاتين في سن المدرسة تتعرضان للخطر بسبب الأمواج القوية في البحيرة.
وبحسب بيان الشرطة المحلية وتقارير وسائل الإعلام القرغيزية، قفز ميديت مع صديقين له إلى المياه فوراً لإنقاذ الفتاتين، حيث نجح المنقذون في إخراج الطفلتين إلى الشاطئ بسلام، لكن ميديت لم يتمكن من العودة، واختفى تحت المياه، وبعد ساعات، عثر الغواصون على جثمانه ونُقل إلى المشرحة.
ويُعد ميديت جينالييف أحد المقاتلين المعروفين في أوساط MMA في قرغيزستان وآسيا الوسطى، حيث كان يتمتع بشعبية جيدة بين عشاق الرياضة القتالية بفضل أسلوبه الشجاع والمثابر داخل الحلبة.
وتعتبر بحيرة إيسيك كول التي تعني «البحيرة الدافئة» باللغة القرغيزية، هي إحدى أشهر الوجهات السياحية في قرغيزستان، وتُصنف كثاني أكبر بحيرة مالحة في العالم بعد بحر قزوين، وسابع أعمق بحيرة على مستوى العالم.
ورغم جمالها ومياهها الدافئة نسبياً، تشهد البحيرة أحياناً أمواجاً قوية وتيارات خفية تجعل السباحة فيها خطيرة، خصوصا على غير المحترفين، وقد سُجلت حالات غرق سابقة فيها.
In a tragic incident that shook the sports community and public opinion in Kyrgyzstan, MMA fighter Medet Jinaliyev drowned while trying to save children from drowning in the famous Issyk-Kul Lake.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in the area of the village of Bakto Dolonoto in the Issyk-Kul region, where Medet (30 years old) was on vacation with friends when he saw two school-aged girls in danger due to the strong waves in the lake.
According to a statement from the local police and reports from Kyrgyz media, Medet jumped into the water immediately with two friends to rescue the girls, and the rescuers successfully brought the two girls to shore safely, but Medet was unable to return and disappeared beneath the water. After hours, divers found his body and it was taken to the morgue.
Medet Jinaliyev is considered one of the well-known fighters in the MMA community in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia, as he enjoyed a good reputation among combat sports enthusiasts due to his brave and persistent style inside the ring.
Issyk-Kul Lake, which means "warm lake" in Kyrgyz, is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Kyrgyzstan, classified as the second largest saline lake in the world after the Caspian Sea and the seventh deepest lake globally.
Despite its beauty and relatively warm waters, the lake sometimes experiences strong waves and hidden currents that make swimming dangerous, especially for non-professionals, and previous drowning incidents have been recorded there.
